Bielefeld DnB @1.65 - 9 Units
Big/max play for me here, posting it now because I expect the line to get worse until kick off tomorrow. Here are a couple of reasons to support the pick:
- the importance of this match for Bielefeld
Bielefeld can simply not afford a home loss here, even a draw wouldn't be satisfying in their situation. They will be ready for this game whereas Munich has a history of joking whenever they get too comfortable (13th, 5 points ahead of Bielefeld)
- Bielefeld's strength at home
Bielefeld is 3-3-3 at home, not really that convincing. Still, it's where they get their points if you look at their away record (0-2-7).
- Bielefeld's additions during winter break
Yabo is a great addition who showed his quality in the second Bundesliga already. He's a young and experienced guy and as a central midfielder, box to box kind of player he seems to be what Bielefeld was missing. He's definitely an upgrade and so is Brandy, another experienced 2nd league player. Both transfers make a lot of sense and it should make Bielefeld a better team.
- Bielefeld's recent form
Yes, they lost the first match after the winter break in Karlsruhe 2-3. Still, I think Bielefeld has shown improvement and over all a decent game that they unfortunally lost. Earlier they had two decent results in friendlies against Legia Warszaw (2-1 win) and Osnabrück (2-0).
- 1860 is a mess
Earlier today it was reported that Aigner, Munich's captain, left the team. He said that the direction of the team has changed significantly since summer which is obviously a statement against their new coach Pereira who they signed in winter. This story is just one example, there are many others and it all points to: 1860 Munich is a mess. I just can't see them being as focused and fired up as Bielefeld will definitely be.
Bielfeld will be a unit Friday night, I'm not sure whether this can be said about Munich, too. Obviously I like the ML, -1 handicap as well. But I will play it safe because I think there's almost no way Bielefeld will lose this match. Good luck guys
