Great job Mr. Bollox as usual. Do you think you will have your Tuesday picks up tonight in the next couple hours. I play every one of your plays and I have to get my games tonight instead of tomorrow. Thanks!

Costa Rica England - so the team with 0 points is an odds on fav to beat the group leader, doesnt sound right does it. As tempting as it is to take Costa Rica at 3-1 +, with the pressure off and no-one called Suarez playing, you can see England getting something from this game. I prefer the Over anyway, England have made wholesale changes but their defense is stilll suspect, i see an entertaining game here, maybe 2-2.
Italy uruguay - the Books can't split them and I can't either - its the sort of game that will be settled by a monumental mistake or a moment of brilliance, both sides have heroes and villains alike, a game to watch, not to bet in.
Colombia japan, Pekererman may rest a couple of players for this one but its hard to back a misfiring japan team here who made such heavy weather of it against 10 man greece. Colombia are moving the ball so sweetly and have such momentum, this'll be a home game for them, they'll keep the ball rolling, Colombia at 6/5.
Ivory Coast Greece - the Greeks are trying to bore their way out of this group, it'll be a travesty if they did but remember they have failed to score in 7 out of 8 world cup games whilst the Ivorians have the exact opposite record. The Africans need a result to still qualify and the Toure brothers will want to play for their younger brother here. Ivory Coast win to nil for me but I'm happy with 11/10 on the straight win.

thankfully i cant lose any more money on england in this tournament
england costa rica over
Ivory coast played right into greece;s hands
Colombia showed them how to win a game on the counter
and landed the futures bet on them winning the group
Its been an exciting world cup but wildly unpredictable, England, Spain, Italy all going home in the group stages and Costa Rica winning a group, I'm sure the shocks will continue.
Wednesday
Didnt think I'd ever be doing this but I will be backing the Under in Argentina Nigeria and Iran Bosnia - desperately poor games in this group. Argentina and Nigeria are in the same position as USA Gemany, a point will qualify both, I'm not sure that will happen but both teams have played very defensively and have no reason to go out guns blazing here.
And Iran will play exactly how they did against Argentina, go forward on the counter and soak up the pressure. Under in Both games.
In Group E, no messing around for me here, a parlay on France and Switzerland to both win, France are on fire and even a second string side should have too much for probably the weakest South American side here. Switzerland should very simply outclass Ecuador, the parlay pays around 3-2.

in hindsight backing under in an Argentina game is asking for trouble but I'm still amazed that a French team that scored 5 against a good defensive team like the Swiss couldnt get 1 past a 10 man ecuador, thats football for you.
My France Switzerland exacta came in as expected though so that was nice.
For Thursday I will be cheering the US on but not betting that game, if ever there was a game that was made for betting in running, thats it.
Portugal have looked very ordinary in their 2 games, Ronaldo has not hit any form and they still have a number of injuries, Ghana outplayed the US for long periods of the 1st game and got a creditable draw against Germany, Ghana are a decent play at 9/4 to win this one, Portugal are priced up on reputation.
In Group H, I like another dog, Russia haven't impressed so far and I've been looking to fade them all tournament, Algeria surprised everyone putting 4 past the Koreans and I like them to win here at a big 11/4. A draw is no use for the Ruskies so expect Algeria to pick them apart late in the game.
Belgium have done just enough in their 2 games and now just need a draw but the Koreans are poor, with the pressure off I can see Hazard and the Belgians cruising home here, Belgium -1.

Ghana have sent home Muntari and Boateng, Muntari was suspended anyway, the players were waiting for their unpaid fees as well. They've drifted out to 11/4, I was waiting for the better price and now I'm not even sure I should back them now, the players missed a day training tuesday, Portugal must be licking their lips at this.

cashed on Belgium winning the group and Russia not qualifying, looking at all my group stage bets, I did pretty well, up a few units and got some nice futures still going, mexico, chile and greece all going out in the last 16. I'm liking my Brazil Argentina final future, I think both sides havent gone out of 3rd gear yet.
Anyway onto Saturday and I like both favs.
Brazil Chile - so many trends favor Brazil here, in world cups Brazil's record against fellow S.American opposition is 8-1-1, Chile's record against Brazil on brazilian soil is 0-20-6, in fact Brazil last lost a match in Brazil in 2002.
More importantly though, Brazil are yet to hit top gear, they have coasted in all their games and with only one superstar in Neymar, attention has been focused on other teams. Chile struggle against elite teams, yes they beat Spain but that is a team on the wane now, Holland allowed Chile over 60% possession and ruthlessly picked them off when they had the chances and they rested players, Brazil -1 here.
Colombia - Uruguay - I LOVE watching this colombian team play, their link up play is superb, rodriguez is going to be playing for one of the big european clubs in a few months, at times he's unplayable. Momentum is so important in this tournament with just a few days between matches, Colombia are on a roll, Uruguay are missing their talisman in Suarez which will affect them psychologically too, the stats point to at least 3 goals, I'm happy backing Colombia at even money.

There was a certain inevitability about Brazil winning on pens, remember you dont get any style points in this game, the best teams often win in workmanlike fashion and dont look pretty doing it so I'll probably be backing Brazil again on friday.
