shalke04, just an automatic fade against Russian team on the road, I know shalke thru to next round and loko still fighting for Europa but I don’t see they get a result in germany
spurs + 0.5, a bit of a revenge and a must win for them
lean Monaco +0.5, I don’t think dortmund care much about the seeding, and maybe a bit of a letdown after a huge derby win against shalke
any thoughts are welcome
good luck

Dortmund will be without 6-7 starters but I think Monaco will rest even more... at least that's what they did vs Atletico, with some unknown kids on roster. Prices reflect this and at current ones no value in taking Dortmund imo.
Monaco +1 asian handicap almost evens or draw at 4.20+ would be my choices if I had to wager on this game
In-game 2H might be interesting if Atletico not up in Belgium, I agree Dortmund don't care much about seeding but if the opportunity is there they'll go after it

Liverpool either win by 2+ or Napoli wins outright. Game won’t draw.
Takes some balls to back a team that hasn’t won but one of their last 22 competitive matches (I think I counted them right lol). But I agree with you. I dont know if Dortmund get it done.
I like Alt Madrid to get it done tho.
And PSG to walk through, up and down in their game.
Don’t like Spurs at all. They have a shot, as any team does. But I just don’t think they’re very good. And definitely not good enough to get it done at CampNou.
Inter over as well I believe.
BOL Yoro.

yoro, regarding tottenham, don't see any revenge angle and never bet a team just because its a must win
and while dortmund may rest players, monaco are absolutely dreadful under clueless new manger thierry henry, another player who will be back in the commentary box soon. that being said, GL to you.

Current linemovement is massive, I can’t believe money keep shifting to spurs as Barca is different class to spurs
I agreed Monaco is garbage, but after Dortmund draw with club Brugge at home last round, I seriously doubt they care about first seed and with this price I will not go with Dortmund win

Imo Tot game is very fade material...I actually think Liv get the job done at home and blow Napoli out the park. I think BVB get the W too, theres no reason for them not to go for the win here and hope athletico let down at brugge. Inter -1 seems juicey as does PSG 1st HF. Have some parlays for today but have a huge bet on the Shaktar vs Lyon game day after; best of luck my friend

good to start this thread. hope you dont mind my popping in.
brought this up last week with another member here but saved explanation .... Dortmund????
this is what I dont get about Favre (Dort HC) last round. though i dont want to be too quick to judge and perhaps he had his reasons........ most coaches jobs are to put their teams in the best possible position to succeed. Dort was in control of their own destiny, so for him to rest starters and eventually lose control of their Group? I just dont get it. if you have a chance to get paired with Lyon/Ajax/Roma/ManU instead of one of the 5 "behemoths" of europe, PLUS get the 2nd leg at home....... i just dont get his logic there. and though in KO's, its the 'matchups' which "reign supreme"... that decision of his might come back to haunt him.

Spec, always welcome to pop in and others who are interested in soccer!!!
That’s exactly what I think spec, look after they roll over a Madrid and an emotional win against Bayern, they seem like a different team, not show up against average team but only good teams n rivals , see how they beat shalke....it’s all about motivation, not sure how motivated against a garbage team like Monaco

On the other hand, a Madrid should win , and I’m sure Diego want the top spot after so many years being the runner up, this is the year this team finally gel and believe they can beat R Madrid n Barca, but again I don’t like the price that much either

regarding the Napoli match, this is split right down the middle with a bunch of us. can go either way. ill just provide insight from the napoli perspective because i really dont follow Klopp as closely. personally i think he made a big mistake in the reverse fixture, tried overthinking and getting too cute with tactics -and probably learned his lesson too. with that lineup at his disposal, you just let them play. and Pool is SOOO much better when the game is faster.
but Napoli...... some of you might look at this strangely. but its the truth. if ur backing napoli and they score first, you should get worried. cuz if they get an early one off a counter, they get over-confident. and ive seen this play out soo many times thru the years Serie A/UCL whatever...... banged one in early vs my guys in Turin to take the lead and got burned; did the same thing vs PSG too if anyone cares to remember. Ancellotti has his fingerprints all over them this year and has done well "teaching" them. but at crunch time, in BIG matches, they always revert back to habits. yes, took the 'under' in 1st half; but this could blow up in thy face pretty quickly ill admit.

No matter the line up Dortmund plays, they name the score vs. Monaco. They are way more concerned with not getting relegated that winning this game today, and the 2nd teamers on Dortmund have something to prove after firing blanks vs. Brugge.

Hmmm I think napoli is a bit different with ancellotti on their side, he’s really good in CL and I’m sure he has a game plan for Napoli but I will never bet against pool at home ......with way too many game changer in their squad!!!!

Loose, true. i was just looking at the Dort side and kinda forgot about Monaco as Bollox duly noted.
this is a day for the neutrals i guess. took some chances but in my own defense really pared down the risk. all i know is I never take a juiced -1.5 road fav in the CL (never mind a -2). especially on a tem whom - if ya think about it, might eventually not even need to win to advance. so to keep self from looking like a complete idiot i took the 3.5 over to save thy butt. (ha)
DTP, Boll. GL today. "look on the BRIGHT side. at least you wont have to worry about sitting through a PK session"

great thread with a quality discussion, unlike most of the useless clutter in this soccer section, whether this means anything or not (liekly not) but the ref at Anfield sports an 0-4 record for Liverpool. I still like liverpool personally here...but when was the last loss for napoli? 17 games?

i saw most cappers on other sites love Ajax, I know they have the best form in Europe now, but when it comes to teams like Bayern, Barca or RM, different class, and usually this team will put a hammer on them, I would like Bayern ML
thoughts are welcome as always

Leaning Bayern also, Ajax has been $ so far covering in the CL (and racking up the W's in Netherlands). I think Bayern shows them who is the top in the group. Ajax showing almost 3/1 odds at home, public will love it as you say.
Technically a draw would leave the standings as is but their last match H2H already produced 1-1.

the point is Ajax have already made a statement in Germany a month ago and show they can hang with the elite and I think it’s the time for Bayern to make a statement tonight and to grab this top spot, when it comes to statement game , I always believe in Barca, RM, Bayern n juve!!!!

Think you gotta wait to see lineups for that Ajax Bayern game. Both advancing so I think that will tell who wants this win more. If I’m leaning anywhere it’s Ajax at home. Maybe even +.5 if the price is right.
Good luck

Dortmund should’ve had five...as for Ajax, they don’t drop points very often at home and they’re playing with about as much confidence as any team. A win tops the group but a draw puts the Germans on top but I recall reading that German clubs don’t do very well in Holland. Could see a 2-2 game here.

I took Plzen (PK, +0.5) and the total UNDER 2.5, 3 Roma has nothing to play for and I think both teams are extra cautious today leading to a low final.
Plzen playing for Europa spot
