I will use this thread to post my Copa plays throughout the tournament.
First a little preview of how I see the groups
GROUP A **Predicted finish**
1. Colombia 2. USA 3. Costa Rica 4. Paraguay
Colombia will be without Falcao, Gutierrez, Ramos & Martinez however the Real Madrid man James will be there as will Cuardado, Rodriguez & Bacca. The squad is head and shoulders better than the other 3 teams in the group and should top it with ease. Leaving the other 3 to battle for second.
The United states is a team in transition with the old guard getting older Beckerman, Jones & Dempsey are on the wrong side of 33. The young Pulisic is too young. Wood had a decent year but in the German 2nd division.Yedlin looks decent, Altidore is injured. If this tournament were happening anywhere but the USA I would pick the Americans to finish bottom
Costa Rica have Ruiz, Saborio, Real Madrid keeper Navas as well as Joel Campbell. The team made a run in the WC and sit on top of their WCQ group. A questionable loss to the USA sees them miss out of 2nd place.
Paraguay have had a dreadful start to their WC qualifying campaign. Winners of only 3 of their last 16 games Paraguay is just not the team in form. Striker Santa Cruz is also 34 and with only 5 European based players called to the squad I'm picking them to finish bottom.

Brazil will be without Neymar & Silva with the nation focusing on the Olympics in the summer. Regardless of the players omitted, this is still a strong squad that should top the group with relative ease.
Ecuador have a talented side that could spring a surprise or two in this tournament. Having no major injury concerns and no real pressure can add to how far this team can really progress
Peru are calling up an experimental squad with 13 of 20 players having 10 or less caps for the national team. 7 others have 1 or none caps. 17 of 23 are based in domestic squads so I do not give Peru that much of a chance
Haiti should be fun to watch. Everyone will write them off with good reason however they do play tough & in 2015 have a record of 5W 3D 5L having not lost by more than a goal to anyone.
I do not see any value on any futures here in this group I will try to hunt for AH lines backing Haiti.

thanks for the write up DJ. I think you're undervaluing Paraguay. They should've won vs. Ecuador and Brasil. Both teams equalized in stoppage time when Paraguay got complacent and lazy thinking they already won.

Mexico will be playing all 3 of their games at "home" Glendale Pasedena & Houston. They are the inform team of the tournament. Hernandez, Herrera & Jimenez are all in top form as well. There is a very good chance Mexico reaches the top 4 and more.
Having Suarez injured is a blow as with him in the line up they would be my pick to top the group. There is of course plenty of talent aside from Suarez so progressing to the next round should not be a problem.
Jamaica did beat Chile in a friendly. I have said this before please ignore all these friendly results prior to the tournament proper as it has never reflected a teams performance going forward. There are a few seasoned MLS players on the squad but they are just not in the same league as Mexico & Uruguay.
What can I say about Venezuela, outside of Rondon this is a team that lacks the depth, resources and talent to get any result outside of their home country. Perhaps a single point otherwise I pick them to finish bottom.

A Record of 7W 14L 12D Since March of 2013 in all competitions does not inspire too much confidence. Head to head in the past 4 years they lost twice to Colombia, and lost one and tied one v Costa Rica.

I would back Argentina to win it all BUT not at these odds. Messi & co. are in good form and have not won a major trophy since the early 90's. They do however face a tougher bracket so I need odds better than +300/4.00 or better to back them.
The title holders Chile who won last summer might not have the motivation to do it again. The talent is there with Vidal Bravo & Sanchez to name a few. I think they fall short this time around.
Panama have an up and coming squad and might surprise a team or two. Since the Gold cup they seem to be limping and losing to weak teams so I do not expect them to get out of the group
Bolivia play well at altitude at home. The past 10 games 1W 9L not much else needs to be said. I expect them to finish bottom NO Futures Plays for me from this Group

Grabbing this before the line moves too much away from value. I figured Patriotic sentiment would have moved the line in favour of the USA. The line for the draw no bet was at plus money just a few days ago. I would have wagered more but I already have the Colombia to win the group future.

3. Colombia PK @ 1.93/-107 (1 Unit)

4. Costa Rica/Paraguay to DRAW @ 3.06/+206 (1 Unit)
The opening games of the group stages tend to be favour the Under 2.5 as teams play not to lose. I expect a 0-0 or 1-1 type of match between these 2 closely matched opponents

I'm staying away from the Haiti/Peru match as the value that was there a few days ago of plus money on the +1 line disappeared. I really can't judge this Peru team as there are plenty of newbies so I will watch in interest & focus on the late Brazil match.
