Van, how does this affect the Brazil game? Do they just go for the draw? Can Ecuador score? You thinking 2-1? Or does Brazil try to make a statement?
It is pretty complicated, but I dont think the first game has any effect on the second.
If Brazil draw, they get 3rd and play Venezuela. Other than that, there are lots of permutations, but all of them involve 2 of the 3 group B teams playing each other in one game (Vene, Brazil, Para) - and then the one left out plays Chile.
Equador is offensive, and not in the way I would like when I bet an over.

Paraguay really doesnt play loose and reckless. Despite the Brazil game, they are a classic 1 goal a game total team. And I dont see Venezuela coming out to prove anything, they are very happy to be where they are.
Just my opinion - I dont have a crystal ball - but think the chances are good this is another yawner.
As the kids would say - EPIC FAIL.

With that spectacular performance they bought themselves a rematch with either Brazil or Venezuela in the quarters.
They will be the 2nd best 3rd place team, which plays the winner of group B (Brazil if they win by more than 1 goal tonight).
Unless Brazil ties tonight, then they will play Venezuela and Paraguay lucks out (kinda) and plays Chile instead. Regardless, I agree they screwed themselves over because Brazil should roll tonight.

But if Brazil wins by 2 goals, or scores 3+ in a 1 goal win, or I dont know what happens if they win 2-1, they will win the group and play Paraguay and Vene would play Chile.

The bottom line is that this 3rd place shit makes it sooo confusing. Find 4 more teams next time!

Really comes down to would you rather play Chile or Paraguay? I would say Paraguay but there's not much difference, both teams you have to play well to beat.
