His call on Denmark +1 and Germany U 1,5 were in my mind the right analysis. VAR--unfortunately so prevalent and looming over every game with RIGID interpretations, gave first goal to Germany for an unintentional handball; A body part offsides was called off for Denmark on a superbly excuted goal, one minute before that. So in the space of a minute fortunes smiled on the home team.
I see no evidence of the offsides on Denmark ( iwill watch it later again) except for a carttonish AI depiction, which is the "evidence" used to alter a game entirely.
There is a lot of pain people endure for these rules, and I agree with the Danish manager, it was VAR that rewrded Germany to play on, not the execution on the field.
I do think Denmark should have won their group and knocked England out, and avoid playing the hosts, so there is shared blame.
I expect VAR to decide the Champion, in a match similar to this one, with officiating dominating over the spectacle, eliminating and rewarding goals.
VAR has ruined soccer. not just because of that sequence yesterday. just in general. the whole point of soccer more then any other sport is the build up to celebrating the goal. now its was their a big toe offside passes earlier in the buildup to the goal. get the fck out of here. you know what else is absolutely fckin hilarious and just proof they change the rules when they want. remember last world cup and the following season when time added on was like a minimum 10 minutes bc "we had to play the full amount of time". now its back to 2 minutes added on
i lost so many games in the 98th minute when they were doing that bullsht. so which is it. that was just made up sht or we arent playing enough time now. here s an idea just stop the fckin clock when its not supposed to be running so it always ends at 45. dont give me the soccer purists of the game bullsht that went out the window with VAR. ok rant over
