My sportsbook is stupid!

Ok so here's the deal.

I placed some odds booster wagers today as follows. Worded like this.

#1 inter and Chelsea both to win

#2 Real madrid win and benzema score

So first bet Chelsea wins in regular time and inter wins in ot.

Second bet benzema scores in regular time and Madrid wins in ot

They grade the 1st as a loss and 2nd as a win. It's either they both win or both lose. 

These clowns can literally offer no explanation..

They never use the term to advance, just win. And I know I have won these with games going to ot or penalties.

And yes I know how 3 way bets work , I bet these singly 3 way and  inter and real were graded as loss as 2 of the 3 were ft draws. 

Not about the money, just confused.  Maybe they paid a bet they should not have but normally they correct that asap. 

Maybe it's the Boilermakers this evening screwing my thought process.  Lol.

Thoughts?

Don’t know your book or what you’re saying. 
you say you know the win has won in ot. Need to see the wager.

3 way is 3 way. Not in ET.

Pretty self explanatory. Both 2 leg parlays. Both had games win in ot.

Dick? I will guarantee that because Inter didn't win outright after 90 that you certainly didn't bet the Inter to win with OT or ET. I doubt your book even offered such a bet to begin with so it was definitely a loss when they went to extra time tied at 1.

That's why it a graded an L, man!

Then Madrid has to be a loss also. Same scenario..

That's a different type of prop bet and not a 1x2 lined bet that has to be graded after the 90. Madrid could have won on PKs and you still would have cashed that prop as long as Benzema scored at any point of the match.

Different grading for an entirely different type of bet my brother.

Why would it be graded differently??  It makes no mention of winning in ET or AET?  I don't get it

Ok so today they have another 3 teamer as follows 

Liverpool 

AC

Madrid 

All to win. 

Now in the info area it says " 3 way regulation only, tie seemed loser".

It said nothing of the kind yesterday. 

So on the books everyone else uses does it use the term "advance" as opposed to win when betting these cup games that cant end in a draw?

Advance just means winning by any way correct? 

To win means regulation only.

I'm still waiting for an email from them with an explanation. 

Those 2 bets were kind of a make or break for yesterday..

I’ve seen both, to advance and to win. Obviously mean very different things. But in my experience, when betting win props, if it doesn’t specify including extra time, they’re almost Always just including FT. 

I USE BOVADA AND THEY GRADE ALL SOCCER WAGERS (UNLESS SPECIFIED AS "TO ADVANCE") AS 90 MINUTES +STOPPAGE TIME. YOU HAVE TO GO INTO THE ALTERNATE WAGERS TO FIND THE "TO ADVANCE" OPTION.

IF THE BENZEMA PROP WAS WORDED AS "ANYTIME GOAL SCORER" THAT MEANS GOALS IN EXTRA TIME SHOULD COUNT. GOALS SCORED IN PENALTIES AFTER EXTRA TIME DO NOT COUNT.

I AM PRETTY SURE THIS IS A STANDARD RULING FOR MOST BOOKS

 Agreed. But Real winning should have been in FT with stoppage time. Not extra time. Unless Benzema scoring anytime changed the winning stipulations to simply “advancing”? 

This doesn’t really matter THAT much. But I’m extremely curious to know the answer 

It just said benzema to score and Madrid win. He scored in regulation btw.

on bovada I have the choices of 3 ways. Props to win in reg, extra or in penalties. Or to qualify which is a prop in Itself

sure it does. What are you going to do, call the book and say “does it matter that much?” 

simply put either you unfortunately didn’t read the bet, or if you read finer print rules surrounding sports props or what not it’ll state it there. The book probably isn’t wrong, you just got fucked. I’ve been screwed before for “bad lines” and had winning wagers voided. If you don’t like the book find another; there’s many.

Yeah I just use BOVADA easy layout n they explain stipulations of the prop bets

 Wasn’t MY bet. So it really doesn’t matter to me. I was just curious. 

2nd one should have most likely lost. But why complain and send an email when they were at fault for paying ?

So here's what ended up happening. 

Overnight they went and graded the 2nd bet as a loss and removed winnings from my account. Of course with no explanation.. 

I'm sure there were a fair amount of people this happened to..

Figured I had a 50 50 shot of losing or getting paid on both. 

Obviously a mistake on there end.. ugh...

Big, hope you dont mind my chiming in.     if you see the word 'win' it means regulation time + whatever stoppage the ref adds.   if you see the word 'advance' its for whomever moves on to the next round.   dont matter if its a prop or a straight or whatever.  as the gentleman JimC stated above, most books are very careful with the wording and know what they are doing.    your initial thoughts were correct , (tho you did lose the wager) 

i'm shocked so many people use bovada, the squarest of books, never get the best price with them

 I live in Ohio sports betting is not regulated yet…so it’s limited options with overseas books I hate betonline and BOVADAs layout is just easy to use…

Yeah, it’s not like we have a ton of options living in the US where sports betting isn’t legal.
