Didn't think anyone was in the soccer forum as for years I've been viewing it with few handicappers. I've been encouraged to start posting these here as I've had an incredible couple of years. I have been posting in the NFL forum with the NFL plays so the record is cumulative of both sports.
YTD (NFL/SOCCER): 54-29-3 ATS
What an awesome season in NBA, NFL, and Soccer so far post pandemic. I also had a 3-0 day in Ncaab taking me into the positive with a small sample size. Let's keep this going!!!
Yesterday was a resounding day of victories, one maddening defeat which saw a team relegated to 10 men equalize against an Italian giant playing on home soil, and the oddest thing I've seen in sports whereby a huge visiting underdog abandoned the game due to a racial slur. I am a full backer of racial equality but the referee who was responsible for this said "that black guy" pointing to an assistant coach who had been running his mouth. That caused a backlash b/c he was referred to as a "black guy" instead of "that coach"...so it goes.
As for today:
LIVERPOOL (-122): They have little to play for except they are Liverpool and want to win EVERY game, even when on the road. Midtjylland is certainly capable of scoring and potentially even winning at home. Except they have yet to do so this Champions League and will face a Liverpool team that, even if they start a second unit, will want to use this as motivation moving forward in both the league and next round of CL. The line is short enough to take a flyer but the value is huge here so I have to play it.
OVER 3 (ATLETICO MADRID/SALZBURG): So if you don't know Salzburg, they are actually very good. They are just not AS good as some of the bigger teams in the bigger leagues, like Atletico. But they do score, against just about everyone, so if they get 1, they should at worst push this game. If they get 2, they could very well push this over the 3 goals we have to meet to be victorious. Atletico on the other hand are on a TEN game unbeaten streak and have won all 3 times they have faced Austrian opponents, with all 3 of those going over the 3 goals set out as the total today. I like the chances here, AM need to win to progress though a tie will do, but will want to score the goals and get the victory to win the group.
MAN CITY FH (-123): Also in great position to move on, playing a Marseille team that has no chance here, at home where they have shutout opponents consistently, and having won the 1H in most their matches, this is an easy play for me. Of course, anything can happen but I dont' think anything will happen in this affair. Short line as well, I think no matter which lineup they start, they will net at least one goal in the First Half. Marseille on the other hand will not.
BAYERN MUNICH FH (-140): This is an AUTO PLAY...every time they take the field I will be playing them First Half. They win almost all the time, including almost every first half, are playing an inferior Dynamo Moscow team that has zero chance, and should be cashing the way they have all season.
Will check in on the thread but that's all i have for today. My HUGE PSG FH play is still active and I've never put so much on a game so I'm already nervous. But these all should win or at least have a 74% chance or higher of winning, so, as always, tail or fade, good luck to all....
