[England Championship] Reading FC - Blackpool: Pick: Reading @ 1.80
Motivation should be a massive factor in favour of the hosts Reading FC in this game as they are in the hunt for promotion to the Premier League. They are showing positive signs especially at home and they easily beat Bolton at home with devastating 7-1. They are 6-5-2 at home which makes them the 7th best home team in the league. A loss today would mean that Ipswich could climb above Reading, so they should be very eager for 3 points here. Reading though, are without midfielder Guthrie (23 games/4 goals) who will miss his fourth straight game. But Reading has been playing well in spite of his absence and usually dictate at the Madjeski Stadium.
A clash with a out of form Blackpool team comes very handy for Reading, as Blackpool have a temporary coach in Barry Ferguson and he will be without the best player in the team - Tom Ince, who is a goal scorer and an assist contributor, highly important for this Blackpool team. Blackpool are terrible on the road as of late, with their overall 3-4-6 road record, but they have 5 straight road losses and have conceded heavily in that span by being outscored 12:2 in their last five road losses.
Reading should show no mercy and push Blackpool and win comfortably. If they want to be a Premier League side, these are the games to win. 2 units ________________________________________________
Brentford are crusing towards promotion to the Championship as they continue to pile up victories and it seems like an everyday job for them. Brentford have 10 home victories in a row (all competitions included) where they have combined a goal differential of 28:7 during their home streak. This is likely to continue when relegation candidates Bristol City come to visit as they sit 23rd in the standings with the fewest victories in the league (4-12-10 record overall), while only one of those wins have come on the road. They are up against the best team in the league here, without a doubt. I personally fear a blowout victory here but the weather conditions may make the field tricky to play fluent on, and therefore all that Brentford really are looking for is the 3 points so they can create a gap between themselves and second placed Leyton Orient. Brentford are showing ambitions as they signed Arsenal youngster Nick Yennaris the other day and he is a welcome addition and adds pace and technique to the team. Bristol City will be without midfielder Scott Wagstaff as he is their only absentee. Due to a busy schedule for Bristol, the coach Steve Cotterill said he will rotate the team because of the upcoming games. I smell Bristol know they are nearly without a chance and will try to rest their important pieces in order to survive a tough schedule ahead. A one unit play on Brentford is suggested. _______________________________________________
Norwich gained a very important victory in their previous game when Hull City were defeated in a game where offense was not the main subject. It was a hard fought victory but they will need to step up their game in order to bring in the three pointers, but with injury concerns such as winger Bennett, and important central back Turner and midfielder Howson who both have been regulars for Norwich - It is now time for the replacements to step up. Gutierrez is not eligible to play for Norwich either as he is from Newcastle and can not face his parent club. Moreover, Newcastle on the other hand snapped a four game losing streak in their victory over West Ham, and it was very well deserved after losing four quite undeserved losses despite playing very well in those. Newcastle are still candidates for the European spots, but they need to get the wins in the games where they dominate. Luckily - Cabaye will play despite being linked with a move, and right back Debuchy is back in the squad. Loic Remy has been good all season and is clearly a potential match winner. Only defender Collocini will miss the game for Newcastle. Norwich have had problems scoring all season, as they don't get any production from Van Wolfswinkel or Elmander who are the expected scorers. This will be even harder because Newcastle are a well organized team with some great ball winners on the midfield in Tiote especially who will clean up dead balls in the middle making it hard for Norwich to break through for scoring chances. Goals won't come easy here I am foreseeing, but Newcastle are the side closer to the victory here and I would predict they take it with a 0-2 score or something similar. Do not get fooled by Newcastle's previous losses, because they have played really well in spite of those. One unit on Draw No Bet Newcastle

Already liked the Newcastle pick without even reading your analysis, but now I feel even better about the bet. Any idea why the line has gone up (other than people pounding Norwich)? Newcastle is the underdog now at most bookies if I'm correct. Good Luck nonetheless!

Kasier - I read something about Newcastle accepting a bid on Cabaye during the night and that he is flying to Paris today instead of playing this game.. not sure about it but BBC, and some other reliable sources are stating it. I dont see him as the reason why Newcastle would suddenly be underdogs though, so I remain calm.. its not like Norwich does not have any absentees themselves

"Yohan Cabaye will not be a part of the Newcastle squad for the trip to
Norwich, after a fee was agreed with Paris Saint-Germain for the France
midfielder."
