So, anyone that invests in the stock market must have an economics degree?  No, people with money to invest find a knowledgeable person to make the investments for them.  It doesn't make them less of a man.  It makes them smart.

There you go there are two types of people. "knowledgeable" and people who SEEK "knowledgeable"! 

I never said you needed a economic degree to invest 

I make my own bets and do my own research, i guess I am not very smart. When I win its on me and when i lose i take responsibility for my own decisions

Needs to become a man and do their own research and own bets,"  The inference is that a person must be an expert to invest in the stock market.  However, there are many successful MEN and WOMEN that invest in the stock market by using an expert other than themselves.  The point that I am trying to make, which seems to be lost by you, is that you don;t have to did it all by yourself. 

You don't need to make statements such as "There you go there are two types of people. "knowledgeable" and people who SEEK "knowledgeable"! ".  It doesn't add anything to the argument when you attack the person and not the issue.

Highway to hell there is no inference that the person has to be an expert to invest. The point that I am making if you choose to follow is that you are trusting somebody's judgment more than your own. Furthermore, Highway your economic analogy wasn't a very good one. 

So if you follow Fever picks for example, your trust in Fever bets must logically follow are > than your own picks!

It is more noble that a person makes his own picks and doesn't reply on others if possible. If some one else has some insight that you might be unaware of, I agree it is helpful. Information is power! 

BTW i do agree i was being a bit of a person in reference that we can't help each other. 

Abadboycali - What are you implying here that you think your worse or equal to everyone? I don't think that I am better than everyone in everything, I am better than some with some things and worse in other things. As I said I am very confident in my own picks and decisions, I don't need to follow others peoples soccer picks, if than makes me arrogant, then I guess I am.

GSP, My investing analogy is "spot on".  We will agree to disagree and continue to help each other beat the books.  BTW, I will be contributing to MLB capping as that is my specialty.

Highwaytohell, the only part of your analogy which was correct, both sports betting and investing in the stock market. 

I never said you need an economic degree or implied that (which i have no idea why you said that). Another difference is that stock market has many other factors that soccer or sports betting does not. 

 What I don't like is that people like Fever who think they are correct absolutely and being adamant about something like that the Nani red card is absolutely the right call. Any real soccer fan or expert will tell you that is never a red card. He pulls out the rule book and underlines the words careless,reckless and excessive and calls this clear. These aren't as clear as day, you need to make a judgment call here. However if you believe that Nani was careless, reckless and used excessive force, you obviously don't have good judgment and/ or knowledge about the game of football.

I agree that we should work together to help each to beat the books

Oh, you were talking about the red card. I thought you were talking about the validity of checking with fever's analysis before you make your picks.  My school of thought is that the bad calls even out over time.  Sometimes for me, sometimes against me.  I don't waste much time on something that I can't change.

You're such a can GSP. Why do you think Vegas always wins? Because nobody can beat the system. But when you have a proven winner with a track record like fever you would be an idiot not to follow. He obviously has the time to research and has knowledgable insight. Do some of your own homework before you judge anyone django

Get over the red card ... there are two ways to interpret it.  You don't disagree ... fine.  Get over it.
