England just crumbled, one of those scenarios where one bad thing happens and everything just goes wrong like dominos falling. but i give them a lot of credit in unlike the Serbs, the effort is/was still there. even when they were down to Romania they were pursuing the ball, running, and all those little things when could have just said "to h*ll with this". so theyve got pride. we'll see how it goes.
i just find it helpful to actually watch the games to at least get an idea of how teams are playing besides reading stat sheets. doesnt guarantee anything & some were quite fortunate.

That German game was horrendous after the first German goal. I don't know if it was the heat or what, but they literally stood around for the rest of the half and let Romania run circles around them, I have never seen that from this squad. If the heat is going to be that bad again advantage Spain.
Spain just can't give Germany any stupid free kicks. I was Pro Germany all the way to the final until I watched that game.
- i know. and like i said, splitting thin hairs with this one. theres no way in gods green earth the germans going to quit, evenat the expense of heat exhaustion. by the way, yeah, those 15 min breaks helps and glad to at least see them do that. its the humidity more than anything. but one thing to note,for whatever it is worht the Final is held in Udine much further up north than ystday in bologna, near the Slovenia border and closer to the mountains. should be a lot less humidity but still freaking HOT.same thoughts. yeah, they must have gotten their butts chewed out in that locker room at the break. again, im careful not to take anything away from Romanians, i think youll agree in saying that they really played nicely and with a lot of heart. their fans have nothing to hang their heads about. with the xception of austria, i think germans have scored on a set piece in every match. just cause im backing spain doesnt necessarily mean i think theyre the better team, its just that on sunday, considering the circumstances, i think they might be. we'll see how it unforlds.
once they can get over that hump and get it all figured out. interesting year for them.
