Quote: Quad 2 "I'm going for the red star with AOR in the Paraguay/Brazil game. Goodluck to everyone!" GOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL! Paraguay! 1-1! Good luck on the red star, Quad! I chose it for W7, as well. IDK what to pick next. Sit on it? Maybe Pirates? I am too scared to pick the Ecuador/ Venezuela match. I can't get a bead on it. Either side could win, or it could be a 1-1 or 0-0 draw. There's too many conflicting stats.

Congratulations to Jeter on #3000! Hats off to Jeter, that was a classy reaction by the Rays on applauding Jeter! BTW Jeter is now 4 for 4 and only 998 away from 4000.
A perfect day for Jeter 5 for 5, including a home run for #3000 and a game winning hit in the 8th inning! Make that 997 away from 4000.

Doing it the way Dereks do it. I'm still excited about my name sake and favorite player doing it big today. What a class act Derek Jeter is. I saw an interview with his Dad Dr. Jeter, now we see have Jeter gets his class from. Of course Mrs. Jeter has a lot to do with that as well but I have never heard her speak. The day belongs to Derek Jeter and every Yankee fan. Topped off with a win over the Rays! Great Day!

Good info Bama. I didn't know Dontrelle Willis was gonna pitch today. I'm happy for him. He's an Oakland boy so since I'm in the Bay Area again I made a bet on the D-train to regain some confidence again. The kid has had major anxiety issues. Some people can't deal with the money that they make. I have always said the sports leagues need to invest in financial education and have some mentoring program for these kids if there are gonna be paying them Millions of dollars. Ask yourself if you were 20 or 21 and suddenly got $40 Million dollar contract with a $10 Million dollar signing bonus how would that have effected you. The list is long and vast of the players in all 4 major sports that cant handle it from a maturity point of view. More education on the front end with a support system will lead to less problems on the back end.

Tim Stauffer is 4-1 with an era of 1.29, he's also 3-0 with an era of 1.84 against the Dodgers. Padres can't hit yesterday they were no hitting the Dodgers for 8 2/3 innings and then gave up 2 hits and lost. Those 2 hits were more hits then the Padres got. The 1st 2 games both ended 1-0. If this game reaches 7 runs then someone is on steroids.

Just got news that Pacman was arrested again in Cincinnati for disorderly conduct. It appears the Pacman just doesn't know how to stay out of trouble. The NFL should have a kept in the program. This is my point about some of these players. Counseling and support system set up in the beginning. After a few years the players should adjust to their life. If a player gets into trouble they should have a permanent system setup with a "sponsor" someone that they're held accountable to. If the player doesn't like it or finds it too intrusive then they will be banned for life. End of story, discussion over. You are blessed to be paid Million$$ to play a child's game. With that blessing comes responsibility. If you don't like it you can come to the real world with the rest of us. Sorry for the rant but it really gets to me when these guys have no clue what real life is about. But I blame the leagues as well because their approach is half ass and it doesn't solve the underlying problems that these guys are dealing with.

Nice Job on SFTC....w6....keep it going
I have been sucking this month

Excellent observation there, Quad. The trap may be set in motion! I am laying off this game tonight, as tempting as it is to pick San Francisco. Something feels wrong here and the stats just don't point to the spread being that high. Plus, it is too close to the break, so who knows what the players are thinking? My streak is only at 3 after the Pittsburgh debacle last night knocked off my 7 gamer, but I will be happy to take it into tomorrow. Good luck with whatever you all decide upon.

I couldn't agree more , my friend. These poor kids just aren't ready for all of the perils associated with that kind of money and life in the fast lane. It disappoints me, as well, when they repeatedly get in trouble. D-Train was an exception, for me, because that poor kid had a nervous breakdown while pitching in the spotlight. He handled it well when he was on top of his game, but as soon as he began to struggle on the field, he also struggled off of it. He just lost his mind having to hear so much criticism. I hope he turns it around this time. As far as Pacman goes, he is just an idiot , in my opinion.
