I just made a pick in the NBA (under Phi/Was)  thinking it was tonight and it's tomorrow, why aren't the days divided, so I don't make that mistake, since there is no void button ? Yes I know they are dated, but if you are in a hurry, this can happen.

The days are divided on league contests, but not on survivor. I wonder why that is, oh that's right, so you can do what I did. NOT COOL !

WTF........... I did it again. I picked an NBA game tonight and it's not until Saturday, thanks covers you guys are great. Why are the NBA games that aren't being played tonight listed before the NHL games that are being played tonight, they should be listed in chronological order. I don't understand why they are not, oh that's right so I can do what I did and not get a pick for tonight in a monthly contest. When are you going to provide a cancel button that can be used before the game starts like ESPN does, makes no sense at all !

So tell me how hard would it be to put a solid line dividing different dates like you do for league contest games. Oh that's right, you don't want to, because then nobody would make a mistake. Also why can't you implement a cancel button, so when you do make a mistake, you can rectify it. It only seem logical, it would give everyone a better experience, wouldn't it.

take the under in yanks/redsox game at 8  so game's called after 6 inn and they tell me i pushed . what the darn. thats why you won't win!

And here I thought this column might be about the REASON they take the game down ( like too many people make the same pick, and do they take down both sides? don't know that for sure) but instead it's about how to make things easier because I made a mistake...Waaa!!!   Don't sweat it dudes!  Wait until you try playing with real money.  PS-  Try and win a hat first.  It's pretty damn hard.  Good luck.

Yeah, I supposedly won a hat last week but never got it and really don't care.  I won one some time ago that I did get but never wore it.  The hats SUCK so don't sweat it if you don't get it.  Just take pride in your accomplishment and keep it going.  Luck to all.

I've gotten that message now and then. Most times I've just waited a few minutes, submitted it again, and it goes through. Not sure why.

Who cares if 100% of people are on one side, why do they block you from picking a side?  It's not like any side is over -130 anyway?

over unders have to go 8 1/2 innings just like in vegas or any sportsbook that ever existed.

dude its a free contest. plus how dumb are u to make the same mistake twice. take the one second it takes and look at the date directly next to the game you're picking. honestly you're not going to win anything anyway.

You have a lot of little things like that that could cost you a W14 or what ever you may have, thats why the games we do get to choose from are usually the worst games they can find, and sometimes when there's a full card there may only be a couple picks to pick from. Most people will be very lucky to ever get to 10 in a row much less ever win anything with the way it's set up. And as far as being free yes it's free, but its not like there not making a ton of money each month from just us playing the "never winnable game". Well GL to ya , Your gonna need ALL you can get lol

I noticed that covers contest for picking games sometimes seems a bit unfair.  When some else can pic a team but you can't?  I don't get it, can someone explain the fairness in that?

a week ago the guy had  20 why would he pick the reds vs the brewers even when homer bailey is pitching just coming off a no-hitter the line was to low

There is a consensus rule in place for all picks of Streak Survivor. Unfortunately when one side is heavily chosen, the selection will become unavailable.

In your case, the selection became unavailable after having clicked on the game. It can however re-appear if users who have clicked on this game decide to select the other side or not make a pick.

Hello,

Please note you don't necessarily have to go through the contest tab to make selections. Enter the Matchup of the game you are interested in within 'Scores & Matchups' and you can make your Streak Survivor pick there. It must be within -130.

This will allow you to pick games which aren't always available via the contest page - something we will look at getting changed.

Don't have the DET/CWS game on the survivor pick page if you can't pick it due to consensus, that's just stupid.
