Streak Survivor changes needed

Curious to what others think about some Streak Survivor rules.

Most importantly to me, I believe that picks should be allowed to be changed up until game start. Hasn't anyone made a pick & then realized the date was for the next day and then you're stuck without a pick for the current day? I also think if a game is PPD, we should be able to cancel that pick to make another. I love all the contests but think these changes would be a major improvement, Unlike the new site design, which I feel was a disappointment and unnecessary. The old site design was much easier to navigate.

What's everyone else's opinions?

I agree with games being postponed that you should be able to make another pick. I don't agree that you should be able to change your pick because you picked the wrong date. I think all picks should be final unless cancelled by rainout. For example if you're in the running for monthly contest and you see what your contenders have picked you could then change your pick based on that knowledge. I don't think that's a good way for the game to be. 

How many times have you come into the contest wanting to take a team(s) and find out you're locked out because too many are on that/those picks? Very frustrating for me. The "lockout" can be in effect from early in the morning. You have to, not only cap the games, BUT, be fast in making your selection. I guess speed kils when it comes to Survivor.

I would like to add if a starting pitcher is changed it should be voided pick. 

Also you should be allowed to pick money line underdogs at all times. Why can’t I pick a survivor pick that’s +180 if I feel it?

It is what it is I guess. Free is free.

I don’t want to allow anyone to change a pick. Handicapping takes a decisive mindset, and if anyone can’t stay on your initial best pick, get a different hobby ??.    Some people (I don’t)  follow others picks, and no one ever wants to come back near game time to see if it’s changed.

Totally agree. It's no different than a wager at a sportsbook- you check it and if it's wrong- it gets cancelled and your money refunded. If you are going to offer such a game- as monthly or beat the streak- then you should adjust the rules accordingly. The way it stands now- if a game gets rained out or a Tyler Skaggs death occurs-you lose a game. In a monthly game- one pick matters.

I think plays should be hidden til game time and multipule picks should be played like the old days of survivor.

I ONCE HAD A COLLEGE BASKETBALL PICK PPD IN AN ULTIMATE RACE CONTEST BECAUSE THE GYMNASIUM ROOF COLLAPSED DUE TO A SNOWSTORM.I CALLED TO SEE WHY I WASN'T GETTING A REPLACEMENT PICK AND WAS TOLD THE RULES DON'T ALLOW ONE AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THE WEATHER REPORT.......I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WERE WEATHER REPORTS FOR INDOOR BASKETBALL GAMES,BUT THE CLOWNS WHO NOW, RUN THIS SITE THINK THERE ARE !

I had a game that got cancelled because of the earthquake on friday. I'm SOL. To me a no play is the same as a loss because it's a most wins contest

I mean as far as the monthly contest goes and can't stand it when I make a pick and they say I can't play it because of too many players already having it. What's that all about? Seems to be a 1st come 1st served kinda deal.

I agree with almost everything said here. This contest needs alot of tweaking. It gets frustrating in alot of different ways. I don't think the people running it really give a damn though. We can't really bitch. It is free after all

The worst thing is we don't get any response from Covers. It seems pointless to suggest anything.

They should make this a lot easier to take their cash.  Everyone should win at least $1000

And what's a real bitch is when you bypass the 5pm pacific games and figure you'll just wait till 7 and make it then only to find out that neither the side or totals are available and end up with no play at all which is the same as a loss because it's a most wins contest. This is ridiculous. What the hell is the purpose of not having all games available untill the game goes off. This is the most frustrating contest I've ever been a part of in at least a dozen different ways. I sure as hell wouldn't pay for a contest like this
