Thanks again everyone. It was a nice run, and even though the odds of it happening again are slim, I'll get right back on the horse and try again. This was probably the most excititing month i've had, but it actually feels good to be over.
I know I don't need to, but I apologize to everyone that tailed me on that pick. For you guys it was win or lose, for me it was win or win. No, I do not work for bodog, wagerline, or sports direct. And no, I did not make a pick I thought would lose just to get money on the other side.
I'm not going to make excuses, it was 8 innings of excitement and I felt confident in the pick. I will, however, question the pitching change in the bottom of the 8th for a while. I still can't understand why you take out Calero with 1st and 3rd with 2 outs in a 5-1 game and put in Embry (a lefty) to face Huff? Maybe the "numbers" were better, but its 5-1, not 2-2 or 3-2.
I wish Tuppy good luck on his chase for 21! Advice for him and everyone:
1. Stick to your strengths
2. Its tough, but try not to over-think or over-analyze games.
3. Be patient
4. Be patient

Oh yeah, one more word of advice. I say be patient, but not too patient. Its hard to explain, but you have to look ahead on the schedules as well to be sure you are not backing yourself into a corner.
And as Tuppy said in another post, if you like it and you "feel good about", TAKE IT! This contest is free! I'll be the first to admit I'm bummed about not getting to 21, but I lost $0.00 doing this.
