2010 NCAA basketball tournament betting strategy

Is Puke that good? Or is the ACC that bad? I'm betting the latter throughout the tournament. After BC lost to national powerhouse Harvard I lost a lot of respect for this conference. This tournament I am betting against every ACC team on the spread and money line (ML wager will be 1/3 of the spread wager), EXCEPT Duke. I'll wait a couple rounds on the ML with Duke and will probably pass on them their first 2 games altogether. Sorry ACC fans but this is just a flat out horrible conference this year. In all honesty I won't even be tempted to bet any other games and I might even consider doubling up if an ACC team does win their first game.

The only positive is I haven't heard Dicky V salivating all over North Carolina. That sh*t makes me sick.

Anyone else have any tournament strategies?

Remember....the public loves the favorite.  BUT.......BUT......once the tourney rolls around, the public loosens their grip on the favorites because of the 'anything can happen in the tournament' mentality.  The public is much more likely to side with an underdog.  As a bookie, I CAN SEE THIS COMING A MILE AWAY.  Think like the book.

So....what happens is the lines are set to a point that the value, especially in the first two rounds, is found in the FAVORITES.  I love the tourney and have learned over the years that I find my biggest value in favorites.  During the regular season, most of the value I discover comes from the heavy, heavy underdogs.

There is always at least one 12 vs 5 matchup in the first round where the 12 wins.  That is famous.
