I use Google Sheets and and it seems I'm unable to update both jenjay or Buckeys sheets. jenjays is stuck on the 11th of this month and Buckeys shows the correct date however the games and plays are stuck on back when the NYY played TB etc..... Does Google Shets not work properly with these formats? Although im probably doing something wrong......
I opened it in Google Sheets, your answer is no. There doesn't look like there's any way to update. Clicking on "All" does nothing. Sheets looks like something to use if you're not pulling info from the internet.

@Scrivero One more thing. Do you have Calculation Options set as Automatic? I'm trying to get everything set to be automatically updated. Some formulas will kick this option to manual and then nothing will automate.
Formulas > Calculation Options>Automatic.
@BuckeyeKaptn That was where the problem was rows 1-45 in the game column. Haven't had time to fix it yet. So thanks for the info.

Change the name of the other one first, this one will copy over it. Plus, you can use the older one to mess around with...test things etc. You can only use Microsoft Office to do anything with this other than view.
I made a Google Sheet online, with a link in the Excel file so if there's questions or problems, it can be talked about and resolved there, instead of clogging this thread.
Enjoy.
It was a lot of work, going back a couple of years. Glad it's done.

I tried to post on the question sheet but I get told "view only". Any this can successfully be viewed on an iPhone? Been trying everything. I can view the sheet but doesn't seem to update.

Here is a link to my sheet for the 5 Super Systems. It looks like the data is importing properly and formula's defined to give the qualifying games for each system are correct.
There was a few changes to some website formats which resulted in importing not working correctly. I updated the link to hopefully have the sheet perform properly.

Buckeye Could You please update your spreadsheet to 2018?
Did this work all year? I stopped using it towards end of May, then made a new one in August that had different stuff in it.
I've been working on a totally new one, from scratch, but it has none of the chase plays in it. It's more of a rankings based spreadsheet, similar to what I did for NHL this past season, plus the MLB version of GSGA.
I can update this one, but as with a lot of web sites, I need to wait until after the season starts.
Also, if a web site changes it's format, I won't know about it since I'm not using this sheet personally. I have System and Strategies bookmarked as I like to check out others ideas. I would see an update to this thread if there's a problem.
I'd like to thank DeGen. I still use the Macro to pull the lines from Covers...the venerable "CoversData".

Degen, I sent you a friend request. Would love the chance to pick your brain on automating a system/systems. The work you have done is incredible and I would love to find a way to replicate turing an idea into an automated system. Thanks!

Sheet updated for 2018 if you like to use or look at daily. Same link as below and I will track and update records throughout season. Started tracking yesterday.
As Kapt'n pointed out, all the props to Degen who provided awesome sheets & info to build off of.

I personally "pick and play" games from systems 1, 2 & 5 and play them on various labby's that I track. Historically they do pretty well. I cant guarantee the accuracy in the sheet and if you play and identify something while you manually cap, let me know and I will see if its an easy fix. I do run this sheet daily and track it's successes/failures and will update this link as the season goes on with somewhat accurate results. Also any bugs that will occur with the sheet throughout the year will usually be fixed and updated as well.

RunninRebel,
I updated the link with this years. I hid system #4 as i did not update the L3 years in ballpark info as i don't use it for any of the capping I do. Hope it helps you with yours. Qualifying picks for Systems #1 & 3 have been doing pretty well. Personally I pick and choose the qualifying picks from those systems after some minor personal capping of the teams/trends/spots.

Take a look at the spreadsheet in the money management article at bettingresource.com It is one of the best that out there and I have been using it for years, not just for baseball but for all sports.

The sheet has been working great until a couple of days ago and now when I hit daily update, after it completes the system plays come up blank and going back in time there's no plays on any of the other dates.
Any ideas?

Hi Guys,

Thought i would pop my head in here and see what's up.....not a whole lot of activity like the old days :(
Info over the years has certainly changed and how we get it, but I am an excel junkie at heart and love the sheets Degen starting me off with. Still use them daily for my daily capping. I updated the "Super System" sheet for 2024, I find it useful to quickly look at matchups and trends, and use the qualifying plays to further cap in deciding what plays i want to make. I find it useful in identifying teams avoiding the sweep and revenging a sweep. Systems 1 and 3 are always productive and qualify for the most plays but are always a bit juicy, if I like the pitching matchup, I play them with odds of <-150 by going with the -1 or -1.5. This year it takes quite a bit longer to run the daily update (~8-10 minutes) due to a few website restrictions but gets the job done while you enjoy your coffee. If you can use it as a tool or it helps create your own ideas, enjoy! I hope it works correctly and hopefully I got all the formulas correct but cant promise anything :)
