I'm new to betting.Even though I genuinely enjoy it, that's not the main reason I do
it.Like many people, I could use
every bit of income I get, so I'm trying to find strategies which allow me to
consistently profit.
This being baseball season, I've been putting the majority
of my bets there. However, I'm not
sure how to profit from it; even the best baseball experts seem to get at most
60% of their picks correct, with most doing less well.
I've had alright success betting boxing and MMA, but their
events aren't frequent enough for me to bring in the type of money I need/am
looking for.
I don't know any systems/strategies, and don't know how many
of them actually work.I just try
to see what experts are saying, or do my own research when possible, listen to
my gut, and make the best pick I know of.
My basic question is--how should one go about betting if
their goal isn't entertainment, but to genuinely bring in as much consistent
profits as possible?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks…Elliot

For baseball, follow Kreature's thread. Its by far and away the most educational thing you will see and it works. There are others on here that are good for other sports. Just frequent this board daily and learn. DO NOT play too many systems at a time. Pick 1 or 2 that have a proven track record and stay the course. One thing I have come to realize is if you really want to make a meaningful extra amount of money consistently, you need at the very least $5000 and preferably $10000. With this large of a bankroll you can play 1% units and actually make some money when you win. If you only have $1000 or $2000 bankrolls, then you still should stay in the 1% to 2% per unit(base bet) and just let it grow without touching it until it gets to a point where you can draw off of it. You must be well disciplined with money management. These are just a few solid, from experience, tips that you cant go wrong with.
