Not as good as AL, but not bad for tier 1's at home.
Hey Rizz,
those numbers definately support your thesis...I like it, over the weekend I hope I will find the time to get deeper into your thinking and see what I can do with it...there is definately money to be made with it

Call82, thank you for the awesome start in baseball!!! I am using a 3 line Modified LaBouchere, have absorbed sweeps by the Astros and the Orioles, and am up 25 Units!!!! You are the man!!!! Obviously we cant keep up this pace can we?

Hey Eagle, thanks for the flowers
Hard to tell if we can keep it up, we definately had a good run so far...but statistics dont lie...I switched my method during the last year and went from gut feeling with respect to which series to start when to the 3 groups/tiers. Since I use this method, the results got better...I dont wanna make any promises since you know how hard it is to predict something like this...but with the start as given, I think another 100 UNIT season should not be out of reach...but as I said, no promises here
I mean one thing is fact: Each and every team will have certain streaks, most important thing in this system is the selection of when to start...before I played the system this way I was waiting in all series for the result of the first game and the started it in case of a loss...the win % is definately higher but you cut yourself alot of games since roughly 50% of all games will be winners in the first game of the series...so the key is to pick those teams that will be winners in the first game and avoid the losers here, then the max loss in a series shouldnt be bigger than 3 UNITS (plus juice). As statistics tell you, roughly 1 sweep per series-turn is usual and as long as it stays within this distribution, you will make money in each and every turn...as we have so far
With the backlog of more than 20 UNITS so far I feel pretty comfortable with the weeks to come...only thing we have to watch out for (but its still long way to go) will be the very last weeks of regular season, since then some teams out of competition will start fading badly...got hit by ATL hardly last year when they lost a 4-game-series at home vs WAS in the end of the season...without that, I would have had roughly 17 UNITS more...that sucked badly...
Anyway, that was a pretty long write-up and I didnt plan to, so keep it short and simple: Lets make some

I just checked the current standings and made a current table, result is (as expected) that it is still way too early to use the current season as a group-divider...rank 17 to 22 all have a 4-5 record with 44,4%...I will probably wait until the next weekend or the beginning of the following week...we will see, last years standings provide a good return so far so I wont complain...

Ok folks, I still dont have a RL for the CUBS and will be going soon...just in case that they wont provide a RL (which I wont believe), than I would pick the ML instead...
Hope I will find the time to post my picks on the Weekend, its always tough with the family around...I wont be able to write a lot of posts anyway, hope I can make the picks here...
Have a good Weekend everyone and have some sunny days with the family!

Guys, this thing is gonna be big! Now I know we wont continue at this torrid pace, but its not like the home teams are all gonna start getting swept either. Take this as a serious question and give me your honest opinion, how can this system really lose, where is the catch here? We are still in April, I have already endured 2 sweeps, and I am up 34 Units. Using the 4 line labby I can endure all the sweeps that this system has to throw at me and ultimately not even be hurt. What gives here?

Can't argue with you SuperEagle. I crunched the numbers for last year a few posts back and they looked very good. Hopefully we can do even better this year!

Rizz, notice in Call82s opening page explaination of the system. If I read that correctly, he only endured 2 sweeps throughout the entire season. We have 10 days of April left and have already had 2 and it doesnt even matter!

Yeah I learned my lesson the hard way that in systems like this one and the two I am running you are better off playing a multi line labby system. Really enhances your chances of success because there will be losses the key is how you handle them as opposed to the losses.

To be honest I havent filtered the results in such a detailed form...what I figured during the course of last season is that the distribution of the UNITS won is basically pretty eaqual with all three groups, mainly due to the lines given. i hope that helps....
The more I think about it I would say (only guts feeling though), that you should make the most money with these kind of set-ups where a tier 1 team is on the road...the sweeping %age ist much higher but the lines should be much better in total...what do you think?
Am sure this is a rare situation but Yanks and Rangers had game called early. Since my book just cancelled/pushed the bet, how is the rest of the series treated. Guess the same could be asked about the Boston series?
Thanks for the help

I think it is treated as a 2 game series now which is a no play. Check the 1st page or 2 of the thread. He didnt mention this specific situation, but I think he said this system plays only 3 and 4 game series not 2. Unfortunate that the Yanks got got cancelled on you. My book counted the Yanks as a win. I guess they all have different rules.

I just stated that the 4 UNIT games went 16-2, meaning I had only 2 sweeps with series I started with the first game...in total I think there were between 10 and 12 sweps over the whole season...
