Great start, Cisco.  I didn't know you ran this for Spring Training games. 

First year. Never had any interest in spring training.

 

 

Do you post the plays daily cisco or do I have to do the legwork? Looks like a good system.

33-1 +17.23 units. Lost a chase yesterday for -17.74 units.

I now have a little info for 2012.

Today is the last day for new chases. Hope to have everything cleared by 3/30.

How long do you wait before you calculate which teams are below a .470 winning percentage?

cisco, you running your chase for reg season? followed and played last year 1st half and enjoyed, will you be publishing your spreadsheet link again?

Careful on the Texas play, Cisco.  The Angels winning % is .625.

Texas lost the next two games and was eliminated from the chase.

All plays are currently 8-0 +8.41 units.

On May 1st Tigers/Indians...Tigers seemed to be a play in the system (had yellow highlight)  was within range ML +134...yet after Tigers loss the spreadsheet shows a 'g1' which seems like a no play thus keeping the record at a perfect 29 and 0.  I guess the question is what is g1 and what made it a no play.  The system is interesting and I just want to understand it better.

uhh it happened again…on May 2nd, Detroit lost 5-3 yet a yellow highlighted Tiger team @ ML -133 was given a g2 label and seems to be another 'no play'.  .470 ChiSox did win stopping a Balt win streak.  Again I'm just curious about the strategy, I may just be misinterpreting a rule.

May 2, Yankees won gm1. We move on to gm 2.

We were betting AGAINST Cleveland, New York & Baltimore.

A 4-game chase can be expensive when you lose.

 Basicly you're "chasing" a loss, betting to regain lost money plus winning your original bet. We don't record a loss until the chase is over. (four losses).

Currently the system is 36-0 but we've had quite a few losses along the way.

game 1.We win the first game and ending the chase.
game 2.  Easy to handle a gm 2 loss..
game 3. Now it starts to get nerve-racking.
game 4. you're like "man, i've already lost 3 times on this chase, what if I lose again."

The system isn't perfect. It's going to lose, and more than once too.

 You just have to be prepared for it.

What you have to do is decide how much you can afford to lose on a 4-game chase. Let's use $200 as an example.

I've seen some chases lose 35 units when betting on favorites so we'll use that as a guideline.
Take the $200 and divide that by 35 = $5.71. That's what you're first (risk) bet should be.

Just take on what what you're willing to lose and see it through to the end of the chase.

Cisco - sorry dumb question...looks like you are tracking all teams as well as the ones that are under .470 winning %? So do we bet any team per the rules, or ONLY under .470? Just wasn't clear on that. thanks.

also, i couldn't find a thread for last season. what kind of backtesting/results for previous years using this system?

You play whatever you feel comfortable with.

 Last year All Games went +55 units (different betting method, didn't pan out) That's why I put them up again year.

The under .470 plays went 74-0. I don't expect a repeat of that.

How do you make your picks? or do you prefer to keep it private?

On Monday may 9th your picks would be hou and cws, right? Then on tue its the cubs?
