Is this a straight up chase? We stand to win 15 units per season. We chase for 6 games at -110? If the team gets eliminated do we continue the chase on the dog that plays the round 1 winning team? We stand to lose 73.6 units if game 6 loses. We can lose once out of every 6 seasons to stay ahead. Great work on the systems BTW Dan. Wanted to clarify the best approach and the research done. Thanks.

Everyone can bet this as they wish and what they are comfortable with. My personal goal is to win 10 units. I will run a labby line with each number being 1/2 unit and will spread losses out on remaining numbers.

What a horrible way to lose the Indiana game. They are up 2 with less than a minute to go and lose by 8??? Why even foul down 6 with 3 seconds left? I hate losing on BS like that.

Your chase systems are the most logical I've seen, and I'm following this NBA playoff chase. Can you or someone clarify whether I'm using the right money mgmt system based on my understanding of the aggressive labby ?
Starting with 20 equal numbers of $10 each to win $20/game on the first day of games, let's say I wagered $22 to win $20 on each of the 4 games on opening day last Sat. After a 3-1 day, I then crossed off 6 numbers (3 wins x 2/game), and spread out the $22 loss over the remaining numbers, so all 14 numbers left were of equal value.
After going 0-4 last Sunday, I spread out those losses over the 14 remaining numbers.
Fast forward to today, with 12 numbers deleted due to 6 series wins, but the 11 losses throughout which were spread over each day's remaining numbers have caused the 8 numbers left today to have grown from roughly $10 each to roughly $52 each if I'm following correctly. This would grow relatively large if we keep splitting. Also, what's the best way to deal with minimizing the wagers should we wind up with 2 numbers left ? The original $20/game wager could grow exponentially and wipe out a bankroll. If we win all 8 series this round, do we only choose 2 next round to capture the 10 total ?
I'd like to know if you have some tips to smooth out the ride, and how to deal with the last numbers left to keep them within reason. It's also something I'd like to utilize and understand better when dealing with favorites in the -200 ML area, as is common with your successful post All-Star NHL & MLB systems. I've seen -1.5 run lines/puck lines used to lower the odds.
I also backtested this system using favorites to cover 1 game/series, and it's worked equally well over the past 3 years. This year we would have cleared out all 8 series in round 1 by game 2 of each series; 5 in game 1 & 3 in game 2. I'm aiming to run 2 separate chases next year - 1 strictly for dogs, and 1 strictly for faves. Just want to see if I can bankroll it properly.

Since this is a very low juice system (-110), I run this as a straight chase for each series rather than a labby line. I do use a lower than my usual amount per unit though just to be safe.
Your numbers for the aggressive labby line look correct, which as you can see start to get scary when series go deep.

Well leave it to Detroit to ruin a perfect record. In round 1 we won 7 units on the 7 series that cleared but lost about 18 on the loss. I'm going to up my betting in the following rounds to 2 units per round, which would give me 14 more plus the 7 makes it about a total of a 3 unit profit.
