K4ngur13, you are watching the stats you seek on film, being created. and iniciated on screen to disect your capp; sabermetrics are attached to MM equations based on the pointspread, and have no formulas attached to handicapping a winning edge. The NFL is about weekly Matchups, and team performance, and is capped accordingly..you either have it, or you don't (watching film is simple; understanding the attachment of film to handicapping is complex, as is the Matchup_Performance application..best regards

sn,i've been following since you first posted mlb research.just started wagering mlb this year, wagering nfl for four years mostly just learning mode still. just one question. will the ability to project teams for teasers become better as the season continues and the line gets sharper? or will the method of approach continue to evolve? have been enjoying your threads. bulichm

I will reinforce an earlier assessment on teasers in general before answering your questions; to give insight to concept..teasers are extremely attractive on the exterior, especially to the novice, in-experienced amateurs who are un-aware of the interior motives connected to their winning ratio...Understanding, 80% of all 'teasers' lose, the 20% that win, are by 10% of advanced/professional handicappers, who have a winning ratio consistent to aprx 90%; the 'book' tolerates, and has knowledge of the same stats; based on the 8/2 ratio of profit gained, they are a welcomed commodity attached to NFL&NBA wagering(which are the only sports that offer them)
as the season continues, the team 'reads' coincide with the sharpness of the Line, giving the advantage to the capper..
the method of approach evolves, on a weekly basis, with adjustments, filters being turned on/off additional variables attached, or reliefed. What stays stationary is the "Matchup_Performance" formula..core/foundation to a cappers NFL 'form'.. with the absence of M_P a capper is put at a severe dis-advantage when attaching 'tools' to form(it leaves a hole, and the 'edge' is forfieted) .....best regards

I converted my form to 'film' 6 years ago, when wide field (coaches) film technology was made available...best regards

SN, thanks for your response. I was looking to jump on your teaser strategy with a martingale approach. I think some people call is 'chaser' in baseball and such. I wanted to discuss the details of my strategy with you. Please let me know if you are comfortable responding back and forth via private messages or if you'd rather me just post in the forums.
How has M_P resulted in the past five/six seasons?
Thanks again.

martingale/chase have no connection to handicapping the NFL,or this thread. There's no insight, concept , discussion-available.. Matchup_Performance has been 'reliable' over the past 6 nfl seasons.

On the money line games, I'm assuming the units listed are the money risked? For instance, for the redskins risking 2.5 units to win 1 unit (for example)?

I'll just continue asking a few things that others on here probably already know. Is "matchup_performance formula" an established handicapping sytem that can be researched and studied somewhere, or is this the name Sports Network has created for his own personal capping system?

The "Matchup_Performance" formula is directly connected to Frank Rosenthal(known to his friends as "Lefty") who innovated M_P in the 70's brought it into the limelight in the 80's connected it to the internet in the 90's gave it a 'new' dimension by incorporating the use of 'film' in the 21st century....
Research & Study is un-limited..SPORTS ILLUSTRATED did an in-depth interview with Mr Rosenthal a few years back pertaining to his un-believable success at handicapping the NFL, and the methodology behind his form, which he described as "Matchup_Performance formula/originating in Chicago in the 60's before he introduced this form to the LasVegas sharps of the 70's.
Lefty Rosenthal past away last year(2008), he was 78 years young, and considered by many, the greatest documented NFL handicapper of all time,undisputed....I agree with this assessment completely...
The only creation attached to a personal handicapping system of sports_Network is 'form'.....to each his own
best regards
