couldn't agree more....
Just a little anecdote: My 12-year-old boy is a pretty good athlete. This year - his baseball team has a tournament in Cooperstown and the cost is somewhat staggering. But this system, even with the loss this year, has helped me stash away enough to get my whole family to Cooperstown for a week. This system has also inspired me to explore and research other hypotheses with other leagues - and that's worked out, too. But it all goes back to Danrules. Good fundamental money management, backtesting and realistic expectations. Sorry to get sappy fellas. it's the holidays. Dan - massive gratitude

Toft... Agreed. I always go off a system, not following the guidelines and that's how I always lose. I did that this past year my mlb. Had I followed the system correctly, my bank roll woulda ended the year at 7 times what I started . At least I doubled it.

About 15 years ago we did the Cooperstown dream park.
Great time but YES VERY expensive. If I recall $750 a kid/coach plus had to bring a umpire or pay extra for one.
We did a ton of fund raising, Like $30K for all the tournaments, uniforms and travel we did.
There wasnt many options, hotel wise back then. a few bed and breakfasts.
The Coaches wives stayed in there huge RV, We rented a small hunting cabin on a horse farm, had 8 beds and 2 couches
plus big porch and plenty of land to have cookout, bond fires, pitch a tent for the night or two,
The lady that had it brought horses over so the kids could ride. We had Three families stay there with extra kids.
It was great. Only issue we had was when you there THEY PLAY BALL, RAIN as long as no thunder/lighting, FOG, The time schedule is so tight you have to PLAY it could be midnight because of rain you play.
During one MIDNIGHT game the Fog was so thick you couldnt see 2nd base and could barely see the pitcher
They wanted us to play,
we talked to the other coach and pulled our kids off and refused to play. They ended up pushing game the next day to get
us in and finish first thing in morning.
Other then that would definitely do it again.
Have a great time
