So, it's been about two weeks since the start of the season and we seem to be doing alright thus far. A 16-14 record is not too shabby when one considers that all plays are underdogs and are going against the consensus.
As pointed out earlier, a key facet of this system is to compare two different types of unit plays: One being a static unit amount of $20 (which was our original 2% of $1000) and the other being a fluid unit amount (which is 2% of whatever the current bank amount is). At this point the static unit plays have a slight edge. Looking at our playbook one can see that the fluid unit approach has netted a profit of $1,127.76 while the static unit approach has a profit of $1,129.80 (6.49 units), a difference of $2.04. It will be interesting to watch these two approaches develop over the course of the season.
Another telling component of this system to follow is the ROI, or our return on investment. At this point (before today's plays) the system has invested a total of $623.53 on 30 plays for a return of $751.29 which calculates to an ROI of 20%, well above the 10% goal as expressed in our spreadsheet's chart. Granted, it is very early in the season, one could be rather pleased with a return like that. Let's hope that this data arc remains consistent as we go on.
Thanks for following and to all.
