I actually put together a spreadsheet with a pivot table so all you have to do is cut and paste the table from the ESPN RPI page and then pick the teams that are playing and it indicates the RPI diff, Power Ranking Diff, and GF/GA diff.
Unfortunately I can't post it - but if you want it PM me and I can email it to you.

Do you have a file Excel with rpi?

I found this system online at the beginning of the season - I have been using it in conjuction with the RPI system. It primarily produces the same plays as the RPI system with a few additional plays. I have been tracking it since 12/9 and to date it's been hitting at 64% (136-75)
I normally just use it with conjunction with the RPI system to reinforce the plays but I figured I would share if anyone is interested.

Remember when the RPI first came out and BOS was near the bottom and EDM was near the top. We should have exploited these situations as we knew BOS would come back up and EDM would go down.

Formula: 25% team winning percentage, 50% opponents'
average winning percentage, and 25% opponents' opponents' average
winning percentage. In figuring winning percentage, ties count as half a
win and half a loss.

Are you still keeping track of the record for this system? If so, what is it currently?

I just tried calculating the games for Monday based on Condition 1. Two games fit the criteria which are Toronto and Nashville. It's a lot of calculating you have do.

TOR leads by only 10 rpi over NYI, which doesnt fit the criteria.
todays play is NAS
SJ is a close call @56 rpi over EDM, but they are playing on the road. use your own judgement. i dont know crap about hockey, so im going to pass.
calculating isnt too hard. you can easily eliminate about 75% of the available plays just by looking at their win-loss record. if its no more than 3-4 games apart, it probably isnt a play.

@handsdown - i just realized u checked the rpi yesterday. i made that mistake before, but luckily i won. im not sure when they update the stats, but its definitely after 6AM PST of the day of the plays. i place my bets at 3pm PST just to make sure now, except on the weekends when there are earlier games sometimes.
i dont want to hijack this thread, but i'll post plays until the op decides to come back. this system is doing extremely well and i think its totally underrated on this forum. i think ive only had like 5 losses in the past month. its been doing better than all the other NHL systems i've tried, including ones from this forum. all questions, comments, and corrections are welcome.

I was talking about system plays for that system that DegenGambler posted in PDF format. There were three different systems in that PDF file and I looked over today's game using the first one. The plays came out to be Toronto and Nashville for Monday.

Handsdown - I actually put the system in a spreadsheet with pivot table so all I have to do is pick the teams that are playing and it calculates both the 3 condition system results (PDF) and the OP's RPI system calculations. The 3 condition system is still tracking at 62-65% - but as I said I use it in conjunction with the RPI system

I wouldn't mind if you sent me the spreadsheet. I created my own and am experimenting the 3 condition system. Using the PSGH we would use the Home teams average goals at home+ away teams average goals against when away/2. Then I do the same for PSGH (away teams average goals for when away + home teams goals against at home/2... Not sure if it will make much of a difference but I think this make it a little more accurate bc some teams score a lot less on the road and give up a lot more goals on the road
