    Hey Guys,

OK this is a serious question I'm about to ask, and looking for serious answers. I've just come into a bit of extra money that I am wanting to invest in MLB over the next 30-60 days. It's about $2000.

I'm comfortable with my current bankroll and own Systems and Plays I am running, and don't want to add it onto that.

    QUESTION:

If you were going to put $2000 into a new account and wanted to tail someone on Covers, or any other Forum, either in the Baseball Forum itself or the System & Strategies Forum (or any other Forum found someplace else), whose plays would you follow??

It doesn't necessarily have to be a System, it could also be Straight Betting. Just someone who you have confidence in not losing your $2000 over the next 30-60 days. I rarely ever wander over to the regular Baseball Forum, so I have no idea who is good over there. There is no specific amount I am trying to build to over that time period, any kind of profit will do. There are some Systems in this Forum I will not follow, so if they get recommended I will just politely tell you why I'm not interested in it.

The only rule I have for giving answers is you can not nominate yourself! Anyone who nominates themselves will be disqualified.

I'm heading down to a local bank to open a new account and deposit the money, then transferring into onto a new Pinnacle account. I want this completely separate from my other bank accounts, for my own reasons. Not looking to start probably until the weekend, so will some time to thoroughly review whatever you guys recommend.

There are some intelligent heads on here, and some 'occasional' posters who I know have good ideas. I'm hoping you will answer this seriously.

    Cheers

First, make it, "in the next 30 days."  Screw betting in September.

Second, Mr. Zamboni is having another successful season.  When he explains his picks, he usually has very good reasons for the plays.  He would be a good one to tail, IMO.

Cisco has an interesting system based on betting on a team to lose after winning a game by 5 runs or more.  There doesn't appear to be any logic to it, but it's doing well this year.  I haven't read about any backtesting on it, which would be difficult because of the rules/filters of the system.  There would be conflicts with both of your current systems, of course.

But, and I'm sure you've thought of this, a more conservative approach would be to apply it to the Texas Massacre recovery.  Not fun, not exciting, but it's another option.

Good luck with whatever you decide.  Let us know.

Not interested in this System one bit. Happy he's doing well, but he's only playing very small Units. Because all of his plays are such high juice the labby lines get crazy high at times because of the aggressive approach being used.. and the base Units are only small. For someone wanting to play with $50 or $100 Units, they would be consistently dropping $500-$1000 on games, while still playing the high juice.
When it hits a hot streak it's great, and looks great. But the labby lines are always just listed at the bottom and never actually attached to any of the plays or the juice factor, so you never actually see what the actual $$ amount per game is.

The only filter I've seen, as well, is the 9 total, which doesn't seem to have implemented into play, just listed for reference. If I were to play this, I would use that filter.
This is his 1st Season running with this tho, so I have to say he is doing a great job with things. It takes time to set something up great, so I'm sure by next year it will be presented in a more viable fashion, as well.

JV, I thought maybe you might mention PSIC's blog plays. I read that everyday, for curiousity sake, but have never played any plays. He mentioned something not long ago about discontinuing the free blog, which is a shame cuz if I see him have a strong August there, I was seriously thinking of following his NHL Program.
    What do you think?

Cisco has an interesting system based on betting on a team to lose after winning a game by 5 runs or more.  There doesn't appear to be any logic to it, but it's doing well this year.  I haven't read about any backtesting on it, which would be difficult because of the rules/filters of the system.  There would be conflicts with both of your current systems, of course.

But, and I'm sure you've thought of this, a more conservative approach would be to apply it to the Texas Massacre recovery.  Not fun, not exciting, but it's another option.

Good luck with whatever you decide.  Let us know.

Yes Budman, "next 30 days" is definitely the Game Plan, but if I go with someone good and they are good with NCAA Football, then September could be used for that.

Where can I find Mr. Zamboni to check him out? I can't seem to find a thread by him over on the Baseball Forum.. of course there's so many stupid yahoo's over there that board is insanely cluttered with nonsense..

I've briefly investigated Cisco's System.. If he has multiple years of winning results then it's something I would definitely consider. I'll check it out in detail.

I'm not interested in adding it back into Recovery of the Texas loss. I want to continue with how I'm going there, and see how strong I can finish up the season. It's been worse than I possibly ever imagined with 3 Official Series Losses, including a Double Unit Series Loss, and a 4-Game Recovery Series Loss, and it's still only down a bit over -10 Units.. 3 losses in a Martingale System would usually leave one busted, but the Modified Martingale has been able to recover all losses up to the Texas series so far, and I've got about 20 of that loss back, too. Although Colorado is currently giving me a headache.

Thanks for your thoughts, always appreciated!

Look at Target9. This guy is not only THE class act on Covers, his units won this season is SICK. He was just as good in NBA last this year. And from what I read, he has had similar results in previous seasons.

Also, he assigns units to his play, with his stronger plays having more weight. I find that helpfull. He also occasionally does a POD which hits at a really good clip.

He had a few losing days last week, but he was preparing to leave for the islands for his son's wedding, and I'm sure he was distracted. Unsure if he is back yet and posting.

Wow, I'm really disappointed in the lack of response here.. thanks a lot guys. Maybe Covers really is becoming a dinosaur site..

You're probably saying, "Why the Hell don't you just cap your own games and bet your plays??" and the answer to that is because I just don't have the time to break that many games down each day. I have the time set aside to do my System games right now, but that's even been pushed for time lately.

I just sold everything in my living room - furniture set, big screen, sound system, satellite - and am in the process of moving to Calgary. I have a lot of lose ends to tie up here before I can head out so extra time is one thing I do not have.
I made about $3000 from the sale and am looking to invest about $2000 over a 30-60 day period. Just wanting to make a few hundred extra really, anything more is great but not expected, so I am just looking for someone or some place you guys believe in and have been consistent in their style.

I guess everyone just likes to blow their own horn and brag up their own plays.. certainly see enough of that shit on a daily basis all ready.

So fine.. if you think you have a consistent winning edge, then go ahead and promote yourself to me, I don't even care if it's a pay service. Just be prepared for some criticism back your way if I think you're full of bullshit.

Right now, I'm looking into Vegas Runner. He's got the creds to back him up and has a pretty consistent record. Anyone else wanna throw their hat into the ring? Or god forbid nominate someone else?

    Cheers Guys..

Thanks nole! This is the type of stuff i'm looking for. Can always count on you to have a voice! No one seems to ever want to brag anyone up but themselves.

I'll check out Target9 and read his stuff. Sounds good from what you have described.

Simple, just look at the series lines and chase any team for one win if they are -200 or more.  Current series 6-0 all in game 1's.  Tor, Nyy, TB, Sox, Phi, Tex

Sorry for tapping into your thread here...and I can't offer you any solid advice.  I do wish you well in your search.

In post #8 you mention the modified martingale, I've heard of this but I'm not sure what it means.  Can you please explain it to me or point me in the direction of where to find an explanation.

Thanks for your contribution to Covers, you provide some solid info!  I wish I had something to give back.

    k-man-

Haven't been around much the last couple days and did not see this thread.  I strongly recommend going to psic's site and following his MLB experiment for the rest of the season.  Good record keeping, legit with consistent profiting over long term and doesn't get caught up with the short term like so many people out there.  I don't think there are many others out there like it that keep as solid records, win consistently, and don't waste 90% of their time telling you how great they are.  Class act (at least on his blog with the free picks...I don't pay for his service).  Check it out.  I cleaned up with his hockey plays last year.

    Cheers

I got a simaler e-mail but I think he said he was still going to do something on it just not to the extent he did last year cause it's not fair to his clients that pay 500 a year.

I would say Target_9 is the all around best capper on this site.  His link is https://spaces.covers.com/target_9

I have followed him in a few sports he wins in all of them. I would say his weak sport is hockey. He posts around 5-7 picks every day. Keeps his record up to date. Uses units to measure his bets.

Target_9 here on covers.com. He is THE BEST handicapper here or anywhere.  Maybe I shouldn't say this but he is better than the cappers here on covers. I don't know their stats but Target_9 JUST WINS. He is back from vacation, look him up in the Baseball forum. I take his plays "blindly" 2 or 3 days a week. He was +18Units yesterday and he is up today +10 units waiting outcome of SD game today thursday July 29, 2010.  That guy is awesome. I personally know 2 PRO handicappers, yes I know them, who run their own sight and have each asked him to join their team. He said, according to my friends, that he doesn't want to go "TOUT".

TARGET_9  BECAUSE, HE JUST WINS.  AND LIKE ME.... IT'S....BETTOR2WIN...RIGHT????

Thanks Lep, I read this blog a few times a week to see which plays he's on. I followed his NHL plays last winter, as well, but did not play any of them. I'm still not 100% sold on this guy, and I'm not sure what I need to see from him to officially climb on board.
I always said I would never consider buying someone's picks, but he's been pretty consistent to this point.

The free blog is a good way to monitor what he's doing, but he obviously has that set up to attract clients, so good on him. He is one of the leading candidates for my action over the next month, but I'm concerned about his mentioning that the blog plays may not be there much longer.

Vegas Runner from Pregame.com. He is documented as one of the top cappers in the industry. Very impressive stuff. His plays are really cheap so that's a bonus. If I was going to pay for a service right now, hands down it would be this guy.

A documented long track history can not be beat. Thousands of flakes out there, but I like what this guy has done.

Thanks for all the positive feedback on Target 9. I checked him out and he's having a good season, but his record of Units seems considerably reckless! I don't know what his Unit size is or what his bankroll is, but he seems all over the place on the number of Units he bets on each game. Today alone he had a game with 6 Units bet on it.. that seems like a lot for flat betting.

Still, his record keeping seems legit, and hitting 57-58% straight up is pretty damn good. I've definitely added him into the mix.

    Thanks

Thanks for the input everyone, I think I've narrowed it down to 3 sources.

Target 9 MLB Forum Unit Betting Free Plays
PSIC's MLB Labourchere Chase System Free Blog
Vegas Runner Morning Moves & True Steam Plays Pay Service

I decided to do a bank wire to Pinnacle since InstaDebit are huge shitheads and make it difficult to change account information with them, so fuck them they lost a customer. I'll decide over the weekend who to go with (maybe even a combo platter) and go from there.

Haven't been around at all the past 2 days, and need to get some sleep with another early morning ahead. Moving across the country is exciting, but exhausting.

    Cheers
