You decide what works for you and your bankroll. Also how you increase your bets. You need to run numbers and see what you can handle.
I personally use a 2 or 3 game chase, based on the match-up and the numbers. If you want guidance, read back through this thread for how they did it - I'm not posting my plays. Just put a schedule out there.

My NHL parlay system is still a go though!!
Now that the "Experts" part of the site is going away, will you be joining us again for MLB? Just in time for post ASB...

Thiught I would gibe this a try. 1 - 0 so far. Thank You LAD.
I see Sports Network is wearing a pair of handcuffs these days. Considering he yelled at several people, including myself, from a keyboard, I believe the right thing happened.
Anyway, Thanks for this system.
Stay disciplined and manage your bankroll

I thought I would help out a little. I like systems that have never lost.
Teams 10 games over .500 as of the end of play on Sun 7/24 :
SD, LAD, NYM, Atl, Mil, NYY, Tor, TB Hou. Mil and Tor just joined the club this weekend and are exactly 10 games over .500. This upcoming week, Mil has 3 home games followed by a road trip. We will see if they remain 10 games over. Tor is at home for 6 so they are a go.
Upcoming week :
Tuesday - Tor
Thursday - NYY and Hou
Friday - Atl and SD
Stats so far :
1 - 0
A) 1 - 0
I will try to be back next week around this time for an update. Good Luck

G'day Surfer , first off let me wish you good luck with the system
I just have to ask how you are deciding who qualifies ? To my way of thinking (usually not very clearly) there are only 5 teams that meet the required 10 games "above" .500. Let me explain using NYY as an example: The Yankees as of the 24th were 66W and 31L for 97 games played. So 97 divided by 2 to get .500 gives us 48.5, so to get 10 games above .500 the Yanks need to have won 58.5 or more games , which we can see they have(66W). Now using this same reasoning for San Diego gives us 54W and 43L = 97 games divided by 2 to get .500 which gives us 48.5. So SD. would again need to have won 58.5 games to qualify and as we can see they have "only" won 54, so should not qualify.
Using this reasoning, which could be wrong and if so please let me know, there are 5 teams that are eligible for the system NYY, LAD, NYM, ATL and HOU if using your July 24th cutoff date, and only 4 teams if using the All-Star break cutoff as ATL. would not have qualified.
Regardless, I wish you success no matter how you play it.
Sincerely, Rustie

Surfer2 I like the idea of systems for MLB since it’s a long grind but almost always betting heavy favorites is dicey and one would think you need a big bankroll! Opinion and alternatives!

Last week went well. All 5 teams won, and all 5 won the first game of their respective chases. This week's teams are the same as last week, with one exception, TB has fallen off.
Teams :
LAD, SD, NYM, Atl, Mil, NYY, Tor, Hou
Upcoming Games :
Thu
NYM
Stats :
6 - 0

@Rustie - A team is 10 games over .500 if it has won 10 or more than it has lost. I was watching baseball this weekend and twice the announcers spoke of a team that was over .500. On both occasions the announcers subtracted the losses from wins, and then stated the difference was how many games over .500 it was. They did not add wins and losses together and divide by 2. That is just how it is in baseball, that's how I determine if a team is 10 games over .500.
@Haymo - You are right about the juice. Twice last week, a team was at -220. This can cause a slippery slope. Tread with caution. This thread has a few different suggestions on dancing around the extra juice, including making it a 2 game chase. Maybe keep the faith knowing that the system is undefeated.
Good Luck

Hey guys, I haven't been paying much attention to this. Just FYI, this system is also tracked in the MLB Sheets, and has been for years. I'm not sure who had the original idea, but I assume it was DanRules24 since he also created the thread for the NHL post all-star system.
Anyway, the MLB Sheets system is actually comprised of 2 systems:
The Home Favs, in which teams that qualify are at least 10 games over .500 at the break
The Road Fade (road dogs) System, whereby teams must by .435 or worse at the break
So far the 2 systems combined are 21-0, with 4 chases going to game 2.

It is a great system. Undefeated. However, it is like some have pointed out, a lot of juice on some of these. Good for running through sign-up bonuses. Chasing a paltry $3 at -300 = a near $100 wager to win $3 if it goes to game C.
I see Sports Network is banned. That guy yelled at me from his keyboard, then threatened me with the Police (Covers Police but still). In Vegas, if you are consorting with a bunch of gamblers, you never, never, go to the cops to bust one of your own. You work it out amongst yourselves. Maybe he will learn a lesson and apply it to his real life.
Tonight the system has 2 games : Sea and Hou with Verlander. Should be good

Yeah, it can get real juicy. I play these chase systems for $2. For me personally, it's more about tracking to see if it works. I dedicate enough to the bankroll for each of the couple that I run to cover a loss. Sure, I could play them for $100 per chase and still cover a loss, but for what, $3,500 to date? This home fav is sitting at 35-0 after HOU last night. Don't get me wrong, I'm not crapping on $3,500, but that isn't going to alter my life in any way. I'd probably piss it away on something stupid.

50-0 if double dipping with 5 games left if you got on the 2nd game of the NYY double header yesterday.
There's some time before the next plays pick up, and I think I'll see how each team is trending since we're nearing the end of the season, who's sitting players if they've clenched, who they're facing that may be a bubble playoff team and possibly shut it down for the year.

Great system. I made a profit althougth not maximum. If it went to a "C" game I would start over and take a loss. I still knew I would get a win it's just that a few of the series had some steep juice. Still, I guve the system a 10
