First of all, underdogs after losing by more than 30 as underdogs are great ATS bets: (103-57 ATS).
The
only situation where they do not do well is when they are play on the
road after a home game. So, I will take the Jaguars out of equation. The
best situation for them is when they play on the road after a road game
(28-9 ATS). The Eagles are in this situation this week. And if their
opponent is without a win, my bounce back teams are 9-0 ATS. So, I am
all over Philadelphia +1.5.
My second long term winning system is
to bet on home dogs if they won as road dogs last week and if the
opponent won last game at home. These teams are 83-36 ATS. They are
especially effective if their previous week win came in a close,
defensive battle. They are 18-3 ATS if they won that game by 4 or less,
scoring less than 17 points. Arizona fits this system, however, I will
only play them in a teaser because Carolina won its home game two weeks ago. More about that teaser later.
My
third system says: always take the 1-3 team after a loss, if the
opponent won last game but not more than last 3 in a row. These 1-3
teams are 41-16 ATS. They are particularly effective if their opponent
has more than 1 loss: 23-5 ATS. There is one 1-3 team this week that
fits all those parameters and it is Oakland. I am taking them with 4.5
points.
My final system says: Always go against small favorites
of 3.5 points or less if they played last game in overtime and either
won it or lost by 3 or less. These teams are 45-81 ATS. Actually, they
are on a 0-14 ATS run recently. Their worst time of the year is in first
8 weeks (11-40 ATS). My final ATS play is Indianapolis +3. This is also
the play I am teasing with Arizona in a 7 points, 2 teamer.
Plays:
Philadelphia +1.5 Indianapolis +3 Oakland +4.5 Teaser Indianapolis +10 and Arizona +8.5
