Figured between the 2 of us, we can help out a fellow covers brother. I am still in confusion how the XP pc is pulling an IP from the router's internal DHCP and the Vista is pulling a public routable IP from the same router, and they both can get out to the internet. I have never came across a case like this, have you? Than again it's easier to diagnose something when it is in front of you.
