WTA: Mertens ml (3.00) vs Venus Williams
ATP: Bedene ml(2.80) vs Karlovic

Its the opening day of wimbledon tennis and there are to value picks to take advantage. In WTA Mertens, even though much weaker than Williams, has a very good opportunity to capitalize as an underdog. Venus Williams has lot going on off court the past few weeks. She was found fault in the traffic accident that killed a man near her home (google it for details) 3 weeks ago and now the family just announced that they are suing Williams for wrongful death. Williams stated yesterday that she is devasted and heart broken and considering that she already suffers from panic attacks and anxiety disorders, it will be very tough for her to give focused full effort today. Its unclear if she had much practice and this pick is simply a fade of Venus. Mertens is much weaker on grass but these odds are definite value considering the situation. If Merten wins, there is a good chance that she would do it in straight sets, so if you are adventurous you can back Mertens -1.5 sets at odds around 6.00. Keep in mind the Venus is the superior player, especially on grass and she can easily put away Mertens if Venus is able to shield off the distraction and bring her A game.

Abanda +1.5 sets (2.88) vs Ostapenko

All we need today to make profit is any one of our player to grab at least 1 set. In the first match up we have young Brazilian Haddad Maia who is an attacking player that has improved a lot since last year. Her aggressive style of play is suited for the grass and this match up for can cause trouble to Halep who is known to cave to attacking players. Halep is a defensive player and won't have much time to chase down the ball consistently on the grass like she does on clay and if Haddad Maia can attack consistently for even a period of few games, she has the ability to take a set or even win the game. Haleps is definitely the favorite here but the odds are grossly over valued because of the two names and the current 6.70 odds on Haddad Maia definitely has value.

Baltimore ml (2.30) against Houston [Bundy & McCullers]
Colorado ml (1.91) against Pittsburgh [Nova & Freeland]

In the first game we will go against the best team in the American League because its a good spot play. Even though McCullers overall numbers looks good he has struggled as late losing his last 3 starts with an ERA of 9.00 for the month of July. Today Houston will miss George Springer in addition to already missing Correra-- Springer and Correra are the home run and rbi leaders of the team. Baltimore pitching has been horrible but their bullpen has gotten healthy and improved. Today's starter Bundy is one of the bright spots in the team so far this season and he can breathe a little easy against the shorthanded Houston. 2.30 for Baltimore at home is pure value in this spot

Vincent Millot ml (2.55) against Blaz Kavcic
Yasutaka Uchiyama ml (2.35) against Peter Polansky

There are two good value picks in the opening round of Los Cabos Tournament. Both Kavcic and Polansky played in the finals of a challenger event in Quebec, Canada less than 48 hours ago in a 3 set match. They just arrived in Los Cabos Mexico and are not rested enough. Opponents Millot and Uchiyama should be able to capitalize on this opportunity--we only need one of them to come through to make profit today but both winning are very good possibility. Kavcic has been very busy last 3 weeks making the finals all three times and he barely had any rest. Polansky on the other hand made the finals last two weeks without any rest. Polansky leads head to head 2-0 against Uchiyama and Kavic leads 1-0 against Millot (all games were with in the last 45 days) but don't let the past results fool you. It is not easy task to play so much weeks in a row then fly over 5000km to play again in a very short rest. Tides will turn today in favor of Millot and Uchiyama and these are great dog value.

Arizona -1.5 (2.20) against San Francisco [Walker & Stratton]

Even though this is a public favorite, the value is too good to pass. San Francisco will start a rookie pitcher who has been knocked around in both MLB and minors. He will barely have any breathing room today since Arizona is stacking the top order of their batting line up with all their top players without resting any. Opening sequence of Peralta, Pollock, Lamb, Goldschimidt and JDMartinez is a pretty deadly order to handle even for the top pitchers in the league. San Francisco on the other hand will miss their top 2 offensive players Brandon Belt and Buster Posey. Replacing Belt and and his 18 HRs is Pablo Sandoval, a player who barely played any baseball in the last two years.
