Mertens and Sabalenka are seeded nr2 in the doubles. They have won 4 tournaments already together they are ranked 5&6 in the world. They have been training together for a couple of weeks nowhere in Australia.

I think they both know that they have a bigger chance to win a slam in the doubles than in singles. 

Barty and Brady know they have a bigger shot at the slam in the singles. They have not played together before in doubles and Brady is not a good double player. Barty was great when she played with Azarenka but, here I do think she rather wants to win the single and she has a great draw for that.

What do you think of Nadal tomorrow at 1.44?

He clearly has been saving himself and has another gear in his pocket and he’s owned Tsitsipas his whole career. Tsitsipas has looked shaky this tournament and I don’t see anything in him that should trouble Nadal.

I think Nadal will win the AO.
