Dominic Thiem +110
We finally get the match up we were deprived of last year when Thiem withdrew due to injury. I'm sure this won't be a popular pick but got to roll with Dominic Thiem here. While Del PO has looked better I still have to question his fitness. Every match I have seen him play this year where he has gotten pushed or even gone to tie breaks he has eventually gone away. He hasn't won 4 matches in a row all year... there's a reason for that. He hasn't been pushed at all so far as he's cruised to straight sets victories each time. I think he will finally get pushed here. There will be long grueling points. With the courts playing slower this year I think Del Porto will have a hard time blowing the ball past Thiem as he is so comfortable just camping out deep beyond the baseline. Thiems grinding should pay dividend as the match goes on. As long as Del Po isn't serving out of his mind I like this to be a close match, then as we go to the latter sets I expect Thiem to pull away.
