Keys beat Jess in the 2023 US Open 4th round... Jess did win in 2022. So they are split
Go with Jessica for the win though. She is on a roll

I got busy and missed the Bergs match. Another set-back with Pegula. She and I just never seem to click. She has cost me money over time.
Everything still good! I want to bet against the pole Chawalinska, but I didn’t anticipate her being favorite in her match. Don’t know Jule Niemeier….but she must not be very good.
Also, looking to bet against Hibino, Martic, and Wei.

Nice to see Kessler starting off the year strong. The final game of the match really showcased what I love about her. She's up 5-0 in the 3rd with Mertens serving up 40-0. Most players would give very minimal effort in the return game at that point and just try to serve it out with a double break cushion. But Kessler didn't drop her effort or aggressiveness one bit and came back to win the game and bagel Mertens. This is that Iga-esque mentality giving 110% trying to win every single point of the match, regardless of the situation.
Last year's champ was another American collegiate standout, Emma Navarro, who was ranked 38 at the time and rode the momentum from her title to finish the year in the top 10. Kessler won't make it into the top 10 herself this year but she does now have twice as many tour level titles as Navarro does so there's that.

AO 1/13
Stearns (+122)
Kessler 2-0 (+100)
These two players have a combined 0-5 record against their opponents tonight. So revenge night lol. Both strong plays though imo, especially Kessler.

Well scratch that one, Kalinskaya has just withdrawn. The word I'm hearing is that she saw my pick and that's when she realized she couldn't win and stepped aside.

Teenage crazy eyes Jovic is back out here steamrolling the adults again. Parrizas Diaz had been playing relatively well over the past few months too but crazy eyes just destroyed her.
