These heavy behind conditions are the great equalizer. It basically eliminates his topspin.  Nadal needs this match delayed into tmrw, if they continue today in these heavy humid conditions he will lose. Unless DSS&#x27;s form takes a drastic dip.

The break helps nadal a ton. Awful start, totally getting outplayed so this is the perfect remedy for him. He&#x2019;ll get time to regroup and it helps that&#x2019;s he&#x2019;s been there. Schwartz is up, he&#x2019;s in somewhat  unchartered territory against Nadal so having to cool down after the hot start is probably the worst thing that could have happened. If Nadal wins the second set, this thing is over. If he doesn&#x2019;t, it&#x2019;s gonna get very entertaining. Nadal looks reactive today and he&#x2019;s not hitting his shots; that has a lot to do with his opponent but if Nadal can eliminate the errors, I still think he gets through. If there wasn&#x2019;t a stoppage you can bet that Nadal would probably lose this match by the way he&#x2019;s playing. Stoppage = gift from above for Nadal.

Nadal is not pussyfooting the ball back to the middle of the court now. He&#x27;s playing consistently harder and deeper, which is inducing more errors from Schwartz.

These rain delays suck. In this day in age, why not have retractable roofs on the two biggest courts for each major? Now you are gonna run into rushing these guys tonite or tomorrow morning due to the ladies playing in the afternoon. I understand it&#x2019;s tradition and that the game should be played outdoors but for situations like these, you never have to worry about getting the matches in. I&#x2019;m not a huge tennis guy but wouldn&#x2019;t this make sense? Somebody enlighten me here.

No word yet. It&#x2019;s 7 there so my guess is that they have about 2 hours left for play. Hopefully they continue play and try to get as far into the matches as possible. Soon.....we find out

Even if they resume tonight they wont finish. This is Nadal. His matches take forever bc hes permitted 35 seconds between serves.
