I dont have any problems with Roddick stalling but I think hes showing no class in bitching at the supervisor after every point.  For a guy that critized a player earlier in the year for showing no class Id expect more.

Monfils is acting like a sideline football player. I dont care if its a home country you dont see any other players do that. He will get beat next round. Its called karma.

joey- how can you dislike monfils? I love this guy, even if he cost me money today. He is just a better tennis player than Roddick, especially on clay. He got the crowd excited, it is his home country. He's great for the game. Guys like Federer, yes, are more collected out there not showing any emotion most of the time, but I love this Monfils kid. He just won one of the bigger matches of his life and did it in convinving fashion. He has a right to be excited about that and show it.

As for losing in the next round- it wouldn't be "karma", it would be because he is facing Roger Federer.

I think really anyone can win it all that's left though. Soderling played great his last match, Davydenko has always had the talent, Murray might be the favorite, Gonzo is always dangerous, Federer and Monfils are two of the better clay court players in the world, Del Porto is a top 5 guy, and Robredo is at his best on clay.

Nobody should be a shock to win it all at this point. Monfils would have a tough draw having to possibly beat Federer, Del Porto, and Murray to win it all.

I think Joey let the bias American announcers get in his head about anything he thought Monfils was doing wrong.  They were going off on him acting "busch league" athough Im not sure whats "busch league" about getting your fans involved.
 
Tennis needs more emotion that is what makes the womens side so interesting.

Joey and Bergey. This is where I had issues. The crowd was shouting insults at roddick and laughing at him They were chanting his name. Monfils has every right to be excited, but to continue to insite the crowd and make faces at Roddick and look at the crowd with displeasure makes me not want to back him. So he beat a bad clay court competitor. Be excited when you beat soeone of substance on clay. He is a head case, and although I lost 64.00 on the match, I wouldn't care as much if I didnt watch it.
