Not a good start that is for sure, hopefully he will settle down. I have one more play locked in for tomorrow; however, win, lose, or draw I am taking the weekend off to spend time with the family and relax. Gambling for me is very stressful for me and I can only take so much.

Yeah. I understand. I play amounts that are reasonably small and stop when I hit a certain goal. Then collect at the end of the week and start over again on Monday. Have a good weekend.

I took Hurk 3:0 midway through the 2nd set at +135 and then added to it at +340 when he was facing set point before the tiebreak. So now I have $3.4k riding on him winning this set. What do you guys think about Shap's chances this set? I can hedge with him winning the set at +230. If he is able to win the current game that's at at deuce then a good hedge opportunity is likely gone. He was surely reeling after failing to convert 2 set points and losing 7-0 in the breaker but now I'm worrying that the sting from all that has worn off and he'll come back out ready to play. Thoughts?

These guys are humans playing an individual sport, anything can happen from one day to the next...it's very unpredictable and no one really knows what will happen.
Hedge, take the profits, and move onwards...once getting + $ on both sides of any random tennis match/bet (or any sports bet) becomes an automatic mindset , you'll be in the driver's seat, not to mention very profitable.

Yeah, you're definitely right. I placed both of those bets right after a couple parlays settled that won me a ridiculous amount so I was playing loose, especially with the second bet. Definitely not a bet I would make under normal circumstances so I think I'll at least make sure I bank the profit from that one.

Just checked and Shap 3rd set is down to +195 on draftkings but then went to FanDuel and it's +270! Maybe because DK knows I'm trying to hedge lol. But +270 seems like good value on a player who isn't down a break in the set and hasn't been broken since the 2nd game of the match.

I'm sure you're happy you hedged and took Shapovalov to win the set.

Nice to see a lot of chatter on this thread unfortunately Shap was not the right play and until he gets mentally stronger, we should be cautious putting our money on him. Hope everyone made a little money over the weekend. Last week was a profitable one but unfortunately went with some dogs that ended up biting some of my profits. Onto a fresh week and the second week of the French Open. Let's get back to work and break down some matches.
Leans for tomorrow:
Fritz +4.5 games
Cerundolo +7 games
Zev -4 games
