Sharapova vs. Cibulkova

Really like Maria in this spot today... she comes into the match with 3 set wins over Rus & Makarova. Maria is 9-1 in her past 10 and has won 78% of her clay court matches in her career.

Cibulkova comes in with a win over Kutzy and walkover versus Szavay. Dom is 7-3 her past 10 on clay and about 70% for her career.

Maria owns the head to head 2-1 with all matches on clay. However Cib won the last meeting at the French in 09

I really like Maria here... the faster conditions in Madrid should make her serve more valuable and if she keeps the double faults down I think she has the better chance here. Dom is certainly capable if Maria DF's alot or is spraying errors. She is a good mover and defnder and will make Maria hit extra shots.

I still think though that Maria will find a way through here... Pova -120 for me

Yes. Liked lots of low payout dogs today but DC was not one of them. Cibulkova should never be this close to a pick em with Maria. On these courts it is all up to Maria...

My book had Cibulkova +110 and I chuckled at the thought of that being enough value to take her. They sure were not netting me in at that price and no regrets about passing it no matter what happens. So by extension that obviously means I agree that you are on the right side of the value bigtime. gl and nice call on De Bakker in your last post.

The courts are playing quicker first thing in the morning and wearing down over the day so I think this goes 3. Lean to Maria as long as the DFs remain under 10.

On Pova in this one...line is up to -140 now and with the public on the other chick and the line continuously adding more juice to pova it makes me smile even though the juice is larger lol....

how do you know it is not the public driving Maria's price up? That seems logical. Maria at these odds should be the public side. Does not mean she can't still cash but I have a very hard time seeing the public pounding DC at such low dog odds while the sharps balance it out with even bigger wagers on Pova.

I hope you guys cash regardless. want to see what Maria can do here at this altitude. Should be able to do some damage.

I rather lose close, at least you know you made a pretty good pick. Blowouts make it look like your capping is off.
