Not trying to blow smoke but if Kessler can put some type of pressure on Potapova we have a shot as she has been known to lose her confidence quickly.

McCartney is definitely feeling the pressure of the moment but you can also see she really wants this. Hopefully she can get coached up after this set. Maybe get Ben Shelton's dad on the phone lol. She played doubles with his sister at UF.

We just need her to be competitive even if she loses the first set...if she takes the first set we should definitely see 3 sets and it's baked pies for everyone

This is a much different match now. Forget about the first 4 games. Kessler won 4 of 6 at the end. Huge confidence boost. Almost a bit of momentum even.

Did Potapova just slam her racket after missing a first serve? I think after the let she was thinking it was second maybe. Also did she wipe a tear from her eye in that game or was it sweat? I hope it wasn't a tear because for me crying is like an automatic 30% boost for live betting purposes in favor of the weeping player.

Unfortunately the fine people of Cleveland Ohio either have too much etiquette or they are afraid of being admonished by the umpire. Or better yet they may be more afraid of Potapova herself.

If I had to choose either player to win right now at even money I think I'd stick with the American. No way Potapova can avoid a complete meltdown at this rate.
