Most would classify this as mother nature icing the kicker?

ouch. never even though to research weather for an indoor sport. lesson learned. yes, covers has confirmed that the game will be graded as a push for streak survivor and i'll have to pick on another day. was starting to lean towards waiting as long as possible and taking utah since it looks like the line may move in boston's direction the rest of the way. fourth game in five days for boston, travel in between all, and this seems like the letdown spot for a young, mediocre team coming off several big games in a row. utah's been posted up at home getting their legs fresh. not sure i would have ultimately been confident enough to make it the pick for $100k.

also, covers is based in canada, but the person that contacted me from their finance department was in ireland, so i don't know what the deal is there. i know many of you have been asking about those specifics. i'll start looking at some games for tomorrow and let you know if i find anything.

have a wonderful afternoon/evening, and best of luck to everyone who still actually has an active pick today. if heart222 makes a pick, please rally around them the same way you have for me as they are going for 17 in a row and $1000 on their next pick!

Hoping you win like many here. But I do have questions (not to you directly, but in general) if in fact you come as the winner.

Will Covers continue having this contest?

If so, are they going to hide the picks until gametime?

A lot of money have made money in your run. A LOT.

I don't tail too many people myself, but I have tailed you the past 6 picks and I have added a pick of my own and I have won all six - two team parlays....lol

@vgpop, not sure if covers has plans to change any rules. i'm told they changed the format a bit after tuppy won it, so there's always a chance that they will do that again.

very glad to hear that you've done so well as of late. hearing stuff like that has helped me turn a corner in terms of my nervousness. i was having trouble eating/sleeping/breathing for a few days last week when people started saying they were putting tons of money on the picks just because i made them. but at this point, i feel like the people who have chosen to tail my streak picks should end up with a net positive result from doing so. if not, they probably made some really poor decisions with the way they structured the plays, and that's not really something i can control.

Question: Knowing that one win would get you 100K would it be wise to fly down to Vegas and put money on the other side already knowing you have 25k in the bag?

Disappointing that Portland game is postponed.

One has nothing to do with the other.

What you're implying is that the higher-ups at Covers don't want you winning money, and that's quite the conspiracy theory.

Hell, even I'VE thrown a few bucks on some of his picks and I don't ever tail anyone.

I kind of had a similar experience once when I was in the military. When my air wing was in Turkey I took a couple days of leave to visit Istanbul, and was playing blackjack at a casino there and started to go on a little winning run. The local laws allow spectators standing behind players to throw down bets on any player's hand, and win or lose depending on how the hand is played. So I'm only betting $5-15 worth of red chips on my own hand, and meanwhile all these Turkish people start throwing down greens and blacks, wagering on my hand. Needless to say, it really starts affecting your game and I stood up and walked away after a couples hands of that; no way was I going to be responsible for these guys losing hundreds on my hand, I have no idea who they are. Anyway, just a stupid story, but hope you hit it big on your next pick!
