That's one of the main reasons why I took LSU in the first half.
But before I did I had to look at Beanie Wells of Ohio St to see if LSU can match up with his running game. IMO Dorsey will be double teamed as usual so that should open up the other LSU defenders to stop the running game.
IMO Long layoffs normally puts a lot of rust on a QB's arm.
Good luck my friend
Hey BigDaddy. Just wondering. Do you always play halftime lines. I cannot remember you ever playing a whole game or am I missing something? Anyways bro good luck. Too bad it's not Tuesday for the Under huh?

Sucks that this is the last college bet yet my wallet couldn't be happier-Going down fighting though. A healthy Dorsey tells me OSU won't run successfully and LSU will win one for the Polini! LSU28-OSU23-Now we can focus on the pros!

Bigdaddy....looks like your local is sticking it to you at -2.5 for the half, but it makes me even more confident in my intended play of LSU -1.5 at the half....I think it will come down another half point before game time so I'll wait a bit before I send it in. I also like LSU for the game, but can't decide on the O/U, so I'll leave that alone.
Dorsey finally being healthy should be a huge factor in this game. I also look for some big plays from Holliday if they can get him the ball outside on the edge. That dude can fly!
It's been one crazy year and as we've all witnessed, anything can happen in college football. I'm sure it will hit me tomorrow and I'll start counting the days until September and pray that there's a game in August. It's been a pleasure hanging out in the college football threads and I've been lucky to make some new friends and build relationships with friends that I met on here last year. I look forward to seeing all of you next year and wish everyone the very best for 2008.

Farrar -- interesting paste. Haven't seen enough of you in the official game threads... I know you often post in the general ones. Good luck tonight.
BigDaddy -- hope you can win the half, and I think you have a good shot. The home field and less rust factor favors LSU 1st half. Also Les might pull out his high school bag of tricks early. But I still think Ohio St wins the final. Tressel makes the adjustments, and OSU has the redemption factor. I am on them +4. Hope we both can win partner.
PatsGrl, like you my bowl season brought my regular season surplus back to reality a bit. Good luck, at least one of us will win tonight. I'm sure you can make it up with Mr. Brady and co.
Hawkeye, I think you may have at least 3 winners out of 4. I'm just not sure of the under for the game. Best of luck.
Too many good cappers to mention so don't be offended if I left you out...

OSU +3.5 2 units ML 1 unit GL to all. Thanks BIG D for all your picks. By the way the Tues night special was strong this year!!! The New years day games might have been back and forth but the Sugar bowl TUES NITE!! lived up to the under special. Look forward to some good advise on NFL playoffs

Thanks for the inout Hunted. I'll give you a pass since your an alum. I do expect a better effort this year. My concern is the QB as well. But so far I am still sticking with OSU for the game. GL.

It seems that way but it always isn't.
As I explained before I use many factors that involve my 1st half plays but too much to list.
But one example this past weekend...
I took the Jags at the half not on the final. 1st half play cleared not the final. I took into consideration a playoff game at home for the Steelers, they did come back from being down to the Browns earlier this year at 21 points if I'm not mistaken, Steelers has had trouble covering ats at home in the first half in certain situations, Pitt running game was lost without Parker and need to look for Ben and his inconsistent passing game which I think the Jags were ready for, etc, etc, etc, you get the point.
Basically if I posted all the resons why the guys in here would doze off before the game is played
My philosphy on games if you like the favorite why not take them at the smaller spread at the 1st half? unless they are a terrible 1st half team.
I take dogs on the final at times like them with the bigger spread in certain situations but I do take good 1st half dogs as well.
Notice that my local has the 1st half line at 2.5 and everyone else at 1.5? Yeah! my local loves me but no matter if I lose he ain't getting all of his money back from this game.
Remember that for next season
This game like I stated earlier I feel that Ohio St plays 60 minutes of football so I was hesitant to play LSU on the final.
Good luck bro

I really love the unders (23.5) in the first half of this game. Ohio State hasn't played a game in 7 weeks. And they will be out of sinc for the first few drives of this game. I realy believe that Tressel will try to make this a ball control type of game. Tressel is very comfortable in low scoring games that relies on field position. I think the LSU defense will be healthy enough to keep the Buckeyes to a low scoring effort in the first half. Both teams will feel each other out in the first half and you will see the unders coming through. If I had top pick the game, I would go with LSU winning 24-17.

I do beleive that they might have a good chance at pulling this one out or at least covering. Tressel is great at making adjustments. I'm just thinking that LSU will come out strong at home.
Also think that if Tressel motivated his team with the Ohio St/Florida game how do you think LSU feels when a lot of people feel that they should not even be in this game?? If I was playing for LSU I would be fired up as hell
Good luck my friend

He's lucky that I didn't have his number or I would have called in last night's plays to him. Would have loved to stick it to him. Took some major ball squeezing, but we got it done on both!
Good luck to you too, Brotherman!

I'm leaning towards the over. These still are college kids playing in the biggest game of their lives. Ohio State has players that dealt with the hype last year, but not in this hostile of an environment so I think nerves will still be a factor, especially for both QB's. I think thats going to lead to turnovers and some big special teams plays that will push this one over. Oklahoma was supposed to stop the WVU running attack with their D line and that didn't happen because they faced quicker competition than they had faced all season. LSU seems to have the better athletes but I'm not completely sold on Flynn or Perriloux so I think they could keep the Buckeyes in the game with some crucial turnovers. I just think in the end if Ohio State wins they're scoring at least 27 and will win a close game and if LSU wins its going to be a rout.

I'm not as concerned about the layoff this year as last. Tressel had the boys back early and in all of the local news coverage they seemed focused and in shape for the game (unlike last year). Tressel won't let a debacle like last year happen again. I like the under (23.5) in first half and OSU @ -3.5 for the game.
Good luck everyone and thanks for all of the insight this bowl season...

Last game of the season, going big, its been a succesful season so i can spare a few. It's been a great year and can't wait to see you guys back here again next year!!!!
Well after further review, i decided to only play 1.5 units on the ohio state game and under game, and threw that other 1 unit on Ohio State ML. Once again, BOL to all and hope you all cleaned up this season!!!
