I may be "broke" in the sense that I am not actively wagering at the moment, but that's a temporary problem. Your actively noted obtuseness to the concepts we are discussing here, alas, is not as easily remedied.

Will the A's win tonight? I don't know, far too many random variables to think anyone can accurately predict if they will. Now, could I assign a value as to how many times I think the Athletics win in this spot? Sure, I already did earlier. I'd talk now about variance but I think that would just fly over your head to be honest.

yeah, if im laying -130 its cool... if im laying -400 and they already allowed a run then i would worry...

Why is there 5 pages of the dumbest thread of the day?  I wasn't going to respond because this is such a dumb bet, but why not if there are 5 pages of this?  If anybody actually believes this is a good bet and you can make money betting this way you need your head examined.  The title of this thread should be, "How to bet like a complete moron!"

I'm a little confused as to how your yearly salary has any relevance in this discussion, unless of course, you make this money betting on baseball...if that is the case, I will gladly buy you a beer ...if that is not the case, all you're really saying is that you work a lot harder than us lazy, degenerate gamblers...

I'm "allowed" to bet whenever I want, but I told the old lady I'd lay off for a year (though I think if I make it 5-6 months she'll be very impressed.) 

I will still chime in with my NBA thoughts and picks even if I'm not actually  wagering on the plays. I love the NBA too much to not follow it and give my thoughts.
