No I would never judge, I am a big music guy, I can enjoy all genres, from Classical to Rock, jazz , Country, pop , R n'B ,Hip Hop, Reggae, house, Techno, dub-steb, glitchhop....I could go on with all the electronical genres that are popping up like mushrooms.My father is a musician so I guess thats what has helped me apreciate all genres of music.Your use of Hanson was spot on, they were a very commercial band one those earworm songs that the big company's spend so much to promote and have it played everywhere so it grows on you.I believe the the lines are set to public perception, just like those songs are, trick is I guess is finding that public perception and going against it.

Well don't throw out all public opinion. You have to look for substance. For example, Justin Timberlake going solo was "popular" to the masses. He even had a cheesy title, "Justified."
Easy to pass it over at first glance, but if you looked closer it was Produced by Timbaland and The Neptunes. It featured the Clipse (check out their first album Lord Willin, my favorite Hip Hop album of all time). Those people would not have worked with just anyone! Buying the album (and backing it) was a gamble that payed dividends...
I too celebrate all creations of music... My collection and study is extensive!

Utah got it's wanted win over the Grizzlies last night and covered handsomely as well. The Knicks will play the last game of their long road trip and will make an effort to end it if not by a win but at least to cover. Since they are shorthanded offensively - the only way to try to get anything from this game will be slowing the game down.
