This is a bit of a dead thread, only fours post in past ~3 months. But since first post in thread asks a question, I'll answer it. However a) I'm a complete capping novice. I literally started March 4th 2013, having never given the matter of sports gaming one iota of thought, ever, before that.
I'm almost eight months into this, and I'm up 50%. So, yes I've made money over the past year. What's more, as a novice, I've made tons of mistakes - backing off after a losing streak, chasing, being inconsistent, and generally getting way out of my depth. My estimate is that, with perfect discipline, I could be up 75-125% at this point.
I think the results come from following some of Mavin's rules (which I'd never seen before yesterday, but which are kind of common sense); and from having an expert mentor who has a number of angles he's tracked over 3-5 years.
Two things could have radically changed my results: i'd be way ahead of where I am if I hadn't tried to cap baseball early in the season. And I'd be way way ahead of where I am if I'd pulled the trigger on a small wager on the spurs in the waning seconds of that game in the Western Conference Finals vs. Warriors. The Spurs were +10000, or something like that.
But since I'm a novice, I'm happy to be learning, and to be ahead.

You should start a new one man. Not very many people are going on to see this any more in the Website promotions category.

Yet, you are always browsing this thread. Everybody can have a down year. I am sure you know it yourself. People came here to see different angles, trends, stats, people's picks. A lot more than just seeing the picks from Mavin.

dont ya think it wud be better leaving it were it is??that way all the creeps and cretins will over-look it and things can be done in peace with all the same regulars who will look to find it once again......already we have turbovtk,phixer,king midas,fuzzrod and of course mavin back.....just an idea

We could start a new thread. It would likely always be at the top of the thread so new cappers could benefit from our analysis. Maybe some other great cappers would continue to join on in with their outlooks.
Or just keeping it with the fellas is cool too.
Personally, I think we all should message covers and complain to them for moving this thread to "website promotions"... There was no such thing featured in this thread so there was no reason for it to be moved there
