Hate to be against the consensus picks here, and especially JPaco who has been on fire recently (Anyone else notice he didn't play the Heat last night? Should have been a dead give away!)
I just see this game in Oklahoma City playing out differently....
Either way, best of luck tonight gentlemen and great handicapping!
He has been on fire no doubt but no one and I mean no one that picked the Celtics can say they knew that Green was going to get them much much Green
We should all analyze games before and after as phixer, mavin and I, as well as others have pointed out it is not just important to win the games but to see if you reasoning is why they won or if they won by unpredictable events. I had ML on most of my Picks for Heat and -2 so I did ok and It was because of what I said King James' world and we just live in it.
If I would have said they would win/cover because Battier was going to hit 10 3pt shoots and Allen 10 3pt shots I would be wrong and would need to reconsider my analysis and my system.
Same thing with Denver I stated they will lose or not cover only if they themselves or the Bulls slow the game down and intensity drops. I made my bet knowing this was a possibility and hoped it did not come to that. I learned a lot from the games last night and you can't put a price on that. I ended the day up so it was FREE schooling for me.
I learned looking forward that the Heat and Nuggets know how to close out games so it pays when they have low MLs. The Nuggets showed this against OKC and against Bulls. The Celtics showed they can't close games out. I know the Heat are playing like the Martians of the Michael Jordan movie but if you are up by 17 and later by 13 you should learn clock management and not think that because you shot like 68% in the 1H it will continue to go that way the whole game. This should have not even been a contest if the Heat had played better D against Green. I think that if Garnet would have played they would have lost by about 15 pts or more. Green will not have another game like he did last nite at least not against a top tier team.
As for the Lakers as stated before I am done with backing them and Really do hope they get into the playoffs as it should make for easy pickings with or without Kobe. Their problem last night was not Kobe it was poor clock management and play calling- everything was a 3pt attempt and they were wearing cements boots on the defensive board side just no hops. I picked them thinking momentum and the Jazz breathing down their necks would create intensity but it did not work that way now I know they can't just rely on motivation factor they need more time to get their act together, they have skills but no chemistry or a decent game plan that states their identity.

Orlando didnt score a point from 5:07 left in the 1st quarter and a 12-7 lead to end the 1st 12-19. Tobias Harris is a real fishy player if you look at the box score...

Agreed! I think Green also pushed it Over. My belief he would fold in the end made me confident to press the Miami PK at the end to profit. Looking back at it, the 4th quarter Under would have been a good bet with that thought process. I think it was set at 52.

Put that in your notes!
I too didn't think that they would keep making every shot like they did in the first half- heat also missed easy shots they normally make but king James said ok Enough of this cow dong

tnx man but i got splash with some cold water yesterday by bk and nyk lol bol bro and whoever wins were still one team here
Well they didn't want you burning this place down, lol.
A couple days ago, you said you'd probably be betting on the Heat until the streak was over. Then no bet?? I should have asked your thoughts as you are pretty in tune with the Heat. Maybe there were so many games and that wasn't one of your top ones... But I'm interested on hearing if you saw something.

Hey Mavin, how come you aren't rocking your picks any more brother? I know you were cold for a little bit but you generally slay the books ATS. I would always check to see what you were rocking before I submitted my picks

Yeah come on guys... If you don't even have the discipline to format your picks correctly, how could you have the discipline to wager your hard earned money in this stone cold business?
Disciplines a necessity in this business... And its been paying off huge for me...
It sucks because the days that I don't get around to posting here are usually the days that I clean up! I hit a wicked parlay with Pheonix and Minnesota in the NHL last night and Won big with the Bulls of Golden State a week or so ago... And they were really picks that I wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't for all the great knowledge I soak in in this thread.
You guys are the best
