I'm sure you keep good records and you have already told us how important it is that someone be good over a long period of time. What is your win/loss percentage over the last 15 years?

You are 1 in 1 million.  You are not the typical guy who is here on Covers.  There are some interesting questions that could be asked about that, but whatever...very few people are you, if you are what and who you say you are.

If you are making a fortune and you would never sell your picks, I congratulate you for coming to Covers to help everyone else here make some money without tout help.

Really looking forward to your selections for tomorrow.

My only interest in this particular thread is to try to sway anyone from even considering paying for picks.  It really is something that will work AGAINST you long term rather than for you, ....if your goal is to be a long term winning sports bettor?  Paying for picks is definitely a rout you do not want to take.

I will admit, what I can do (well, I am apart of a syndicate), is rare.  There are very few people/entities that win in sports betting long term.  But it CAN be done.  And you don't need to PAY anyone to do it for you.

I do post as often as I can in a thread I have in the nba section.  I don't post all the time, but when I do, I make sure I can post consistent enough to help anyone who follows my picks win.  I've also helped various individuals on this forum, on an individual basis make some money with giving them picks.

    Why do I do it?

I feel good about it and will never ask for anything in return.  Will I ever reveal my exact method?  No.  But, I have revealed every single thing that has lead me to create my method time and time again in many many different posts in the forum.

Win people.  Don't pay someone to TRY to win for you long term (cuz that's all they're doing!  no matter what they sell you!), when you can TRY to win on your OWN for FREE!

You're right, because earning such a good living for myself grants me LESS free time rather than MORE free time to do recreational things I enjoy, such as "posting on covers"....

    LOL!

Cmon man.  Why is it impossible that a professional sports bettor would enjoy sharing ideologies on a forum focused on his art?

Lets say the average joe bets $100 per game (1 unit) and bets 3 games per day.  May or may not be something you would do, but just for the sake of this example lets adopt those figures.

So, he wagers 3 units a day and does this for 250 bets during the college basketball season. He wins 53% of his wagers to about break even on the year.

Now lets say he pays a fee of $1000 for the next CBB season to someone that has a documented track record of 58% a year for several years.  He makes the same 250 wagers that year and he plays those plays only and his adviser goes exactly 57.5% on the year.

He would be up 26.9 units for the year or $2,690.00 minus his $1,000 subscription fee for a positive $1,690.00.

No research.  No time expended.  No hassle.  Just bet the plays.

Maybe he spent 20 or 30 hours a week before on all the researching and analysis.  That 4.5% improvement put winnings in his pocket and time back in his life.  Might be a smart choice for some.

    Just sayin...

very good analyze.. that pretty much what I did.. capping for customers.  It actually take a lot of time from my family .. because i spend like 6 -8 hours a day on my laptop analyzing.. capping. reading news. weather etc.. is football or nfl.. but nba not so much.. is not easy .. and i have to do a good job.. to keep my customers right.. if they loses 2 weeks in a row.. trust me.. they will not be back from you.. you have to be consistent.. of course no one is perfect.. and wining every week.. but if you're consistent.. people will be back.. and of course.. i want to wind people heart.. so they can also refer me to other..by word of mouth.. is pretty much just a service for people that betting is not something they good at

If you dont know how to do taxes on your own .. you pay for service
if you not  a good mechanic. or doing oil change.. you pay for service
if you can't change your tires... you pay for service..

not everyone is good at betting.. so why not.. if i can pay someone a $100.. and he can win me $500.. hell yeah.. nothing is garantee.. but if he can consistently win me 500 per week.. when i dont have to do anything.. i will pay $100.  if people have the money to gamble.. win or loses.. is not a bad thing.. is entertainment..

This is why I say all touts are deceptive.

You know, and I know and anyone who can understand the slightest bit of math, that there is NO WAY you can compare a sports betting service to hard labor services like changing a tire, changing oil, doing taxes....those are services you pay for that incur VERY little risk in actually releasing the "product" and/or "service" offered.

You CANNOT compare paying for "picks", in which you have to also risk MORE money on, to paying for labor services that come with guaranteed insurances and reimbursements for faulty jobs.

You lose someone's money with your 50/50 capping?  You are NOT going to pay them back the money they lost!

So please, stop trying to solicit the forum with your deceptive tactics of comparing sports betting services to hard physical labor services!

    My man....

I have been betting for 15 years.  I am a professional sports bettor.  You say you make consistently $2000 a month?

I make ten times that amount 2-3 times a week sometimes.  And I'm not charging a DIME for my picks...never have, never will.  So save your touting tactics......

I wish you would stop saying 70%, like you've been doing that for any credible amount of time.  .

What, you went 70% for 3 years, or a few seasons and now you think that's what you're going to do for the long haul and your selling that nonsense to your "clients"?

Cmon man.  Why is it impossible that a professional sports bettor would enjoy sharing ideologies on a forum focused on his art?

Going tout seems deceptive to me.  Your earning an income giving out picks with a general uncertainty about them. It's the only sure way to make money Gambling, taking advantage of desperate losers stupidity. If you rope a few idiots along then fine you've made a few hundred bucks...

But if your picks are truly that solid then you would ever go tout, the certainty of income would come from the "guaranteed winners" they charge for.

I hope noone ever pays for picks, it truly is a scam, the tout doesn't have your best interest in mind but there own, if you lose they still make money, and if their picks are worth paying for then why sell them when they can win an unlimited amount of money playing their own picks?

Dude thinks a line is "fishy" because it doesnt match up with the rankings.  There's no way this guy is a tout asking a question like that.

Gambling and capping is a hobby for me. Sure I make a little money here and there. But Im not good enough to make a living at it. It helps pay for small vacations once a year. If I could do it for a living, honestly I'd sell my picks too. Lol. Capping is definitely a skill that takes a ton of time and a ton of luck on top. I find it rewarding when I score good picks off hard work and research. And when I don't score I go back and see if there was something I missed. Usually there was. Good luck fellas and just like playing sports when we were young; try and have some fun......win or lose

I've been handicapping and playing sports for a better part of 30 Yrs. One thing I've learned is that paying for picks never works in the long run. These so called touts can throw any numbers they want into a computer, but it's the intangibles that you can't handicap that ultimately determine the win. i.e referee decisions and time management.

I'm a retiree that has gambled for more years then probably most of you have been alive.  I've paid for picks (mistake) which caused me to bet more because I thought the tout must know something and I was wrong.  I've followed your systems Smack and I've won money by doing so.  If you use me as an example my highest play is $25.  My units go from 1-5 units $5 a unit.  I couldn't afford to pay a service now because I would never get my money back betting the amounts I'm comfortable betting.  I think so far your system has shown real promise and if you would go tout I would say thanks for sharing and good luck, but once you start doing this for money there's a whole different amount of pressure on you to win. Thanks!

Touts wouldn't exist if there wasn't a market of gullible idiot anxious to give away their hard-earned money to the nearest obese mouth-breathing salesman.

Blame the people who for pay for this crap. They deserve to lose.

Thank you Dutch for saying what I was thinking. The way these bitter old baby boomers talk about the younger generation makes me sick. They could fall off the turnip truck with a grade 9 education and get up with a good job, benefits and pension plan. And they're ignorant and arrogant enough to denigrate the young people who have the misfortune of coming of age in the worst job market since WWII. Not to mention they presided over arguably the most ecologically catastrophic period in human history with their greed, hubris and short-sightedness.

PS love the profile pic. "1-2-3 repeater (dun-duh-nunnuh) 1-2-3...."

You have no way of knowing that a person paying for picks will lose more than if they did they capping on their own because you have absolutely no way of knowing how good or how bad each person may be on their own.  If they have tried it on their own and only won at a 40-45 percent clip it is not hard to find someone better.  I understand the distrust many have in touts because is no doubt there are a lot on con artist out there.  But there are also some decent ones with documents records.  There are monitoring sites that can give a 2-4 year history on some of the touts.
