Always read your stuff...Dont post much but your initial comment at the start of this thread abou "info" lead me to comment. I am on Tobacco Road (as NC Capper1 - in the eastern part of the state) and am a huge ECU follower. ECU favored by 9 points over Marshall is totally absurd. Marshall at least covers the 9 if not outright wins. Several factors:
1)Marshall has a decent vertical passing game which doesnt bode well for ECU. Starting 2 freshmen dbs is not going to go well. (Central Fla didnt take advantage because their qb sucks.)
2)ECU is a totally different team than it was at the beginning of the year. Injuries and suspensions (I wont go in length naming them) have changed this team completely.
3)This teams philosophy is not to pass but to run first, second and third. They have done a decent job at times running the ball but the lack of any vertical passing game hurts.
There is a "pay back/revenge" factor that goes into this game as Marshall upset ECU last year at their place with the chance to play for the C-USA championship on the line. However, with a lot of the key personnel losses, I don't use this as a large factor.
Bottom line- This is not a good spot for ECU (at home or not) Take the 9 points. That is what I am doing. (Even though I am a huge fan - I am taking Marshall and +9)
Also like the Ohio State at -11 and NC State at +5. Duke will not cover that number. O'Brien will have State in the game for jump street.

) - wallstreet or other mod - I've never created any alias or mentioned any website in any thread in two years (other than thegreek and bookmaker when people ask about lines) so why is my thread over here - there must be 100 handicappers named nostradamus on the internet (there were at least 10-15 variations on covers when I signed up two years ago and had to keep picking different user names) and very easy for someone to use a familiar name
