Anything that happens nowadays that seems shady and gets exposed if it is right out in the open gets a dumb apology or it was a mistake we missed it excuse and its forgotten about the next day... There have been a few big mistakes that were under the microscope and no one looked back after discussing the same night.

He went 1-8 today just before he was about to charge for his pick lol Today was the last free day for his picks. What does that tell everyone? Stay away.

No I do not believe there are fixed games in the NFL. Not in the year 2015. In the past....I'm sure that sometime in the last 50 or so years SOMETHING fishy has happened. College....point shaving.....I'm not saying that anything fishy has never happened. But in 2015?? In a pro sport? With the backlash that could happen? With eyes and ears everywhere with cameras/internet and with this tattletale finger pointing mentality purportrated from the media on down to Joe Schmo on Twitter? I just don't see it. And especially not this thing that there's "scripts" to games. That half the games on a Sunday are rigged. That any game with a wild finish or a blown call by the refs is a fix. That's just nuts to me.
Like I saw people who had the lions a few weeks ago screaming fix. Really? The scripted game set up by the NFL(???) didn't just have GB win and cover, but they set it up so there was a fake face mask call to leave an untimed play in which Rodgers threw a Hail Mary 65 yards in the air?? That's a helluva script.
Or when someone loses by a hook and I hear "oh man, you just can't beat Vegas!! How do they hit these spreads so spot on? They must have inside info!" That bugs me because I think anyone with some experience can sit down on a Monday morning and pretty much guess all 16 games spreads within a point or two. So if I or anyone random bettor can nail each line on the head, where's the mystique to that?
Ok I'm starting to get off track. i was babbling a bit but I hope I got my point across. IMO I do not believe games are fixed in any way and in the recent past there was some funny stuff going on, it was a lone wolf thing that was rare and not something that rampant.
LMAO You're a funny for saying 2015 NFL is not rigged. Are you blind to not see it right in front of your eyes?

Glyde..I completely agree with you, the thought of a fully scripted and or fixed game where the outcome is predetermined is silly. That would be near impossible. You mention the Detroit game and I agree, that would be near impossible to script. In fact, I personally would think any shady business, if any, would have been done to allow Detroit to win/cover (as we seen throughout that game). Unfortunately, great players sometimes make great plays and Rodgers did just that...and also Detroit did Detroit and f'd it up...
With that said, with respect, let me ask you...how about games that are swayed? Do you think there are particular outcomes that people out there would prefer, whether that is the NFL itself or large books that know they will have or do have a large decision on certain games?
When I say swayed, I'm talking...hey ref, you need to call more holding penalties or give some home field cooking. Or hey ref, you need to give a less/more favorable spot here and there or a "blown" call here and there. Whatever the case may be, do you think that never happens?
Obviously, the league would be the most likely entity to do something like this. With the money involved, it's hard for me to accept that the NFL would leave it ALL up to chance and not try to influence things in some way so that they get the best case scenario for them (storylines, viewship, etc.)
Again, I absolutely don't believe any games are scripted i.e. the play by play is determined or fixed i.e. no matter what happens, this will be the outcome. I think certain things can be slanted to have certain outcomes have a higher chance of occurring. It wouldn't need to be much, we all know this is a game of inches and outcomes can hinge on one play or penalty. In addition to the sharp lines you talked about, it wouldn't take much. Hell, referencing the Detroit game again, the Detroit/Under got moosed and turned into a GB/Over on a single bad face mask penalty. ONE SINGLE PENALTY.
What say you?

Who cares? His picks are awful. For a guy who touts money management, and then bets every game, and increasing the amounts if he is chasing. Classic degenerate.

excellent insight to the realities of the NFL....anyone even remotely believing the NFL is 'scripted' or fixed, is living in a fairytale world created by their own degenerated losing whim-of-denial, not comprehending there are two sides to the winning edge, unfortunately they do not include a fix, or a scripted enactment, that is based on ludicrous commentary, an opinion is one thing, the shear facts are another; to date their has not been ONE NFL game that has ever been under the scrutiny of a fix, or a point shaving endeavor, NONE, ZERO, get it? or prove me wrong (my research goes back to the 60's)....enjoy week #16, try using your own mind, and not that of others, it's your money, wager accordingly (placing a bet based on a forum 'screen name' advice is just about as dumb as it get's; do it yourself, or don't do it at all)

swayed? slanted? a point well taken, the referee's are human, and as you can understand, "to error is to be human" (that's why the NFL has initiated replays to their agenda) is it possible? yes, but highly improbable...Why? it would have to come directly from the commissioners office, and that's not happening....have a prosperous week #16

The funny thing is on these idiots who think it is all fixed, is that always to be on the losing side of the fix. Reality is, they are looking at the game they lost and crying like babies
Histrionic personality disorder. It's sad

The guy selects his picks based on a solid philosophy. He wages on the games where the lines stick out like sore thumbs and bets the opposite of what the line invites.
That's a very profitable way to bet, and I personally learned that philosophy from him. It's hard sometimes to put your money on a lousy team, but if the line invites for it then you gotta do what you gotta do. Some refer to these games as trap games.
Monday nighters are good nights to bet because you can tell what the outcomes going to be based on what happened during Sunday. Vegas got pillaged this last week and then on Monday everyone and their dog had money on New Orleans- In my mind and the publics eye you'd think New Orleans SHOULD win, but it seemed to easy so I bet Detroit and ta-da, what do you know?
Betting based off what you think the line is inviting you to do is profitable and will make you more money than studying stats.
I should mention that I believe this logic goes out the window with MLB and NHL. It seems to only apply to Football, Basketball and Soccer

Whether you liked Phixer or not, he was definitely one of the most entertaining reads on the site. Always had hilarious and insightful dialogue. The sites a lot less interesting without him.
But I sometimes felt like he was giving away too much, better to let all the squares pour money into the square bets so the smart folk can capitalize and enjoy the easy money
