SJP - Is that from the Mavs Under? Stupid Stupid 3 at the end - bastard! On the history page, you have to change the date in the url that I pasted. Just replace the text with whatever dates that you want. This was the short hack I was given to send to everyone else.
Yes, I will try and pull the record for MLB last year. Think it was in the 60% range, but made an absolute killing the first 6 weeks of the season and tailed off at the end. Our system is much better than the one we used last year. So I'm expecting big things from it this year.
Tad - Interesting idea. Let me think about that and I'll get back to you. I like the idea of contests just for our members with a prize involved, we could use Veripicks FREE pick everyday for it's play.

Guys just FYI - I've made my money for tonight and have two games pending (SDSU/Col St & Nuggets total). I'm laying off the rest of the plays as they seem uninteresting and I've got a hot water pipe to fix. I played the 100 units a little larger tonight so was a good one.
I'll check back with everyone tomorrow to see how you did. Hopefully the last 3 on the Watchlist hit too then it's an unreal night for everyone!!
Good Luck!

SJP - I hear you. We've learned this lesson a few times the last few weeks. Once we hit our wins for the night, then take the rest off. You were the first one to do it and I really enjoyed how it felt to not worry about any more games because you already cleared a big profit. Last night was one of them for us.
Veripicks had a magical start last night going 9-4 (69%) to start off the evening. Then it closed out with 3 losses to still produce a winning night but not quite as sweet as it started.
Come join us tonight and let's make this the best month yet. We are already up +$515 (only 2 days in) and hope this can equal or beat our previous three months (Jan +$3,397, Dec +$5,445, Nov +$695).

Ended up 10-10 (50%) $-90 on the night - to end up even on a night like last night is unreal. I'm going to run the night using the old algorithm and see what the outcome would have been. I'm guessing less than 30% of the plays would have won. So I'm thankful to finish where we did.
SJP - I was just like you thinking this is going to get ugly and luckily we pulled out the last 6 of 8 picks to end the night.
What was the Pacific play? Did it have it as a pick and take it off? I saw they covered pretty easily...

Something must have changed in the last 10-15 minutes to take it off the board. Sometimes the percentages could alter the play. Let's watch out for any like that in the future so I can figure out what's happening with it (especially when it covers like Pacific).
Good Luck!

alright... the cavs/memphis game was a good play... but then I refreshed the page and it is now a fade. quite a quick turn around... how are we supposed to use that data?

That game was, I think, an 8:05 pm tip off. It was a "valid" play according to your system to go Memphis -13.5... and your system did indeed play the pick at about 8 min before tip off. I refreshed the watchlist at 8:00ish to see if anything changed, and the pick went from "regular" to "fade". I understand that you updated the system and it had some numbers change because of it, but how can we even trust a play like that when your system changes it to a fade after the wager has been placed? I'm not upset that I lost the play. You win some you lose some. My concern is trying to personally validate a play all the way up to minutes before tip off. Now I already know that you are going to say that the text messages and the picks happen 8-10 min prior to start of game because it has to make the pick sometime and it also gives us members time to copy it. My only concern is, and I've said this before (I know I may be repeating myself but it appears urgent) but how can a play be a good play minutes before an 8:00 tip off and then completely flip-flop to a fade? Am I overly concerned here because it could just be a bunch of bets placed at the very last minute on the Grizzlies which flipped the system's pick? But doesnt that cancel out the other plays that made it a pick in the first place?
Sorry about the lengthy post. I'm only trying to give you constructive feedback to continually improve the system.
Good luck to us today!

This actually happened with the Auburn/Georgia pick today, too. It was fade all the way up until minutes before the game (so you would be taking Auburn), then it went to a regular pick as an official play (so we took Georgia).
I'm actually fading Veripicks today and it's been profitable.

7-3 isn't a bad day for you, but I would be very careful on the fade as Veripicks has proven profitable, it means the opposite is also true, fading Veripicks will cause you to lose.
Hopefully the night will get better as time goes on, right now we are on a little bit of a hot streak assuming Jax St hangs on it will be 4 in a row with some big plays about to tip! All about money management and hanging in there!

Sorry was gone a few days - we were in a freakin' blizzard here in OK. Crazy weather! SJP - Use it for what it's worth. If you think fading will win in the long run then go for it. Every once in a while it will be profitable to do fade it. I just don't think you'll get your desired outcome in the end. But who knows...
RCH - it changes the plays based on the information it has. You know I'm going to say it... When we moved the picks back to about 14 minutes, Verpicks last pull on the games happens about 10 minutes until tipoff. So there are 4 minutes in there for things to change. That is the problem with moving it back outside the 10 minute range. There is nothing that can be done about it unless everyone is ok with picks being sent about 9 minutes before tipoff.
Saturday was a mess to me. Way too many games, I still don't like that it has so many it sends out. We are going to try and look through the games to see if there are some we could kick out. You are going to see a few changes in the next week.
One of the big ones is PWin will now be Earned Value (EV). We are really looking at the return on investment for the pick. What's happened with that type of pick is only a small portion that makes up how good a pick is. I think you'll see a better rate of success using this. If you want to learn more about EV just google it. Tons of information out there about it. We are continuing to run it internally until the end of the week but have seen over the last 2 weeks a pretty good win % using the new method.
Veripicks is an evolving and learning system. Everything that we roll out has been running for 2-3 weeks and uses all the old data so don't worry that we are trying "new things". We are just building on what we have learned and what the system's learned. You will continue to see the system producing winning days/months but there is no way to guarantee every day is a winner. This is a long term investment with strong money management - not get rich overnight.
Good Luck everyone!

I only faded the system because it seemed to be going haywire before the games---1 minute, something was a pick, the next it was a fade, only to become a pick again.
Back on the train tonight if we stick to 9 minutes before tipoff!

I have noticed that, because of Saturday, you need $5K worth of bankroll for every $110 you want to risk on each bet. Keep that in mind if you plan on joining Veripicks.

SJP - I wish I could predict those days - because I would have the system fade itself and send out the "faded plays".
On days like Saturday it's tough to keep up. You might have 12 open games (12x$110=$1,320) if you are a $110 player. If you don't have at least $5k-$10k bankroll I wouldn't recommend you being a $110 player but drop down to $55 or $33 to get started. You must have enough money to go through the bad days, and use the good days to build that bankroll. That's why we preach - money management - every bet should be 1-2% of your bankroll. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever have your bankroll at risk on any day unless Veripicks has 50-75 open plays (which will never happen). So as your bankroll grows, your bets should be growing with it.
We work with a very large bankroll in our group because we have multiple people involved. Sometimes the days hurt, but the overall profitability has been tremendous for us at the end of every month. Believe me guys, memberships for Veripicks aren't even close to the profitability of our plays. Like I've said forever (read my extremely old posts), we think it's awesome that we can beat the Sportsbooks. All the memberships are just icing on the cake for taking care of our servers, network and support costs.
Good Luck tonight!
