Don't have a lot of time to write up but I will make a small play here on the 3pm. Look at the Aces only loss. Aces are the hot team this season but they still have to prove it against veteran squads. I would like to back them, but I see too many reasons to support the Sky as well. Looking for a bit of a playoff feel and hard D plus early start to throw off chemistry/rhythm

Another 3rd quarter slump for the Aces in a big game. Was nice to see them pull out the win but my do they have some things to clean up going forward. As a note, I do have futures at +347 for the Aces to win it all but we are a long way out.

Connecticut has done absolutely nothing to impress me this season and now they have the Alyssa Thomas injury to either fall back on as an excuse or use it to fuel them. In their last game we saw the *star player season ending jury* angle and revenge angle play out. Dallas is playing good ball but they are still figuring it out and they simply could not match CON's energy that night. Connecticut's 4 other wins came against NY, LA and IND twice. Those 3 teams have a combined 7 wins right now. When Dallas came to town and won as 8 point dogs, that was The Sun's first game against real competition as far as I am concerned and it only served to confirm my beliefs about this paper tiger team. 4 of the 5 CON wins came by 17 or more points and the fifth was a 9 point victory. That is our number tonight (9.5 currently). CON is also the only team that has lost to The Liberty. We know they can beat up on bad teams, tonight I will pay to see them beat a well oiled machine like Washington if that's what they are going to do.
Let's get the obvious out of the way; DD and Clark are out. No disrespect to these talented players, but I am really not that worried about their absence tonight. Washington is a deep team. With the recent addition of Williams to their front court, minutes for Hawkins and Hines-Allen have been hard to come by (the former playing just 5 minutes across the last two games). This team is used to playing without Elena. They are 2-0 without her so far this season. Clark is avging 6.5p 2a 4r in her 4 games played so far this season. I know her impact is bigger than the boxscore but it seems to me she is still warming up to the season and Washington has been playing well without her needing to shoulder much load. I think the 9.5 we see tonight comes from big name injuries and the crazy margin of victory that CON has had on all these weak teams. I think this line is a total over reaction. It's interesting to see bets split pretty close to 50/50 all day. Anyway, I will trust my logic and take my shot. Cant win em' all.
I don't think homecourt does anything here. Washington has 3 nights rest compared to CON's 1 (three players played 29+ minutes in this 31 point blowout for SOME reason). On the road and down two key players, Washington should be very focused in this one. Sun may feel some false confidence after the 31 point victory hot off the Alyssa Thomas news. They also see a two game mini-series against the hottest team in the league (Aces) coming up this week. I am expecting CON to overlook the Mystics tonight. Natasha Cloud is 3/14 in her last two games (but still ballin') and I think she finds her offense again tonight against the smaller Hiedeman who suddenly has a much larger load to carry.
