Was nice to see the Aces put together a solid performance. The first few mins January was on fire but cooled off and the Sun just ended up having too many turnovers and McBride finally had a good game. Shocked to see the Fever beat the Storm like they did but I guess you can't win them all. Storm has been playing every 2nd day so they were due for a letdown at some stage. I just didn't believe it was going to be against the Fever. Massive ML odds on that.
Dream vs Sparks
Sparks looking great, the Dream horrendous. The Sparks are completely healthy and the Dream are just missing Carter still. Its getting to the point that these lines are going to get massive and maybe unbackable. Sky got the cover only just vs the Liberty as they closed at -15.5 and won by 17. This line could be something like -15 and 168 total. For me, at this point in the season its either a play on the Sparks or no play at all. Dream and Liberty are just not teams you want to put your money on IMHO.
Wings vs Mystics
I will most likely have a play on this game if the line is right. Wings desperate, needing a win to get them back into the top 8 (currently in 10th). I have no idea what happened in that 4Q vs the Lynx but the Wings were cruising, up 12 at one stage and the an epic collapse. Sabally and Jefferson both out again for them and I really like Mabrey in the starting line-up. Do not know why Agler didn't give her more minutes in that game vs the Lynx because she was on fire early on and then he took her out and then they fell apart. Samuelson is also a GTD for the Wings tomorrow so they might be down some players for this game. Mystics I have no idea what they are doing, they can't tank for draft picks because they have too many wins (WNBA counts wins across 2 seasons) and the signing of Stella Johnson looks to be a good one as she was great vs the Dream. Powers i think is done for the season and Kiara Leslie is a GTD for this game. My guessing has been a little off with these lines but I would guess PK and 164.5
Lynx vs Mercury
its now or never for the Mercury as they face an uphill battle if they want top 4. If they do finish 5th-8th and play in an elimination game, they are definitely a team you do not want to face in that situation. Lynx playing great ball and this is all without Fowles in the last 2 games. I feel as though this is the game where the Mercury can win due to their guards having a big advantage over the guards of Minny. Dangerfield is IMO the Rookie of the year so far. She has stepped up in a big way and Reeve just keeps giving the young girl a chance and she delivers. Up against a veteran in Taurais. The Mercury were pretty bad against the Sparks, way too many turnovers and Skylar really just needs to calm down at times. Griner not doing too much and you never know what Griner you are going to get each night. Have a feeling the line might be Lynx -2 and 167 total.
